DEAR POLICE "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" MLK
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" - MLK We the People are worried and frightened. Innocent people are being shot and killed by police. It is now a common occurrence. People, mostly all black men, are being gunned down in the streets in front of their children, their families and friends for reasons unknown. And while circumstances vary, there have been so many, so, so many, that have been shot and killed by the very people who swore an oath to protect and serve the people. This petition is not about pointing fingers at the entire police force. It is a petition singling out the honest men and women who work as police and know this is wrong. We are petitioning to ask those who have an honest heart, to take down the 'Blue Wall of Silence' and speak up against the unlawful deaths of innocent people. We are speaking to your silent heart. By your silence you are supporting these deaths and injuries. You are allowing the world to believe that the whole police force sides with these cold-blooded murders. By sitting down and looking the other way you are adding fuel to a burning inferno! PLEASE! Stand up! Take back the respect and honor the police badge once held. You have the power to bring peace to this battle. Please. Please stand back up and help unite us. In the name of all that is good and true!
