As a community leader and local mayor, Evan Low has worked tirelessly for over a decade to tackle some of the greatest challenges facing Silicon Valley. In 2010, the Silicon Valley Metro Newspaper named him one of the “Top 25 People who will change Silicon Valley.” A lifelong resident of the Silicon Valley, Evan’s family has deep roots locally. Evan attended local public schools and earned degrees from De Anza Community College and San Jose State before going on to graduate from the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2006, Evan made history by becoming the first Asian‐American and first openly gay person ever elected to Campbell’s City Council. In 2010, Evan made history again by becoming the youngest Asian‐American mayor in the Country. That year, he was also the youngest openly gay mayor in the nation.
