Keep Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane in the Amazing Spider-Man movies
Shailene Woodley is a very natural and charismatic actress. While she may be mostly cast to play young adults, she is also able to make the most clichéd roles relatable. For example, when you see her perform these roles, you cannot help but fall in love with both her and her character. She makes these roles seem fresh and realistic. This ability, among other amazing attributes, makes her ideal for the role of Mary Jane in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. The role of Mary Jane would offer her a change from her role in Divergent. Like Jennifer Lawrence in her Hunger Games & X-Men roles, she gets to play a kick-ass leading protagonist in the former and a major supporting character in the latter. Lawrence was able to get her schedule to work out, so she could play both roles, of which are very different characters. Moreover, she is now well known for two franchises. Shailene could have a similar deal made, for she is currently only doing the Divergent sequels. They could always alter her Spider-Man filming schedule, so her scenes get filmed first. This situation has happened with most actors in Hollywood, who take on multiple major roles. For example, Jack Nicholson's movie schedules have to always be accommodated, so he can always attend a home game of his favorite basketball team. The Amazing Spider-Man movies already have a terrific range of actors and great chemistry among them. Shailene would make a great addition to the team, and she was already casted in the role. Furthermore, both she and the filmmakers stated that they LOVED working with together. Why let her go? If they keep her on, they can always reuse some of the footage shot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This tactic would save time and money. It helps that Shailene also looks the part, closely resembling MJ's looks in the comics and Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon (As well, many fans have stated that her performance in The Fault in Our Stars prove that she can pull off the role of Mary Jane, for she has shown more of her strong dramatic potential, already established in all of her other roles to date). Finally, her role in Divergent shows that she can pull off the self-defense fighting that MJ is known to have. Thank you for your consideration. Disney/Square Enix: Put the Halloweentown (Disney Channel movies) in Kingdom Hearts
The Halloweentown series is arugably one of the most popular Disney Channel series, and a great way to get into the Halloween spirit! As the Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town World has been featured, it would be interesting to see the relationship between the two worlds, and how it would work; they could either be in the same world, or perhaps as a separate world, or maybe characters and elements could show up in Traverse town or a similar town!
Release the Unreleased Deleted Scenes from the Harry Potter Movies
The Harry Potter films are among the top grossing movie franchises of all time. Now that the series has completed, Warner Bros continues to find new ways to keep the magic of the films alive by releasing various products related to the property. The release of the movies’ many unreleased deleted scenes could supply Warner with many financial and creative benefits. The scenes could offer a new perspective on the films, as their content could dive deeper into subjects that were only briefly touched upon. They can even be released digitally through Warner Bros’ online store among many other virtual outlets, thus defeating the need for packaging manufactures, and the time and money that comes with them. If you could like to see the many scenes not previously shown for the movies, then please sign and share this petition. If interested, a complete list of the deleted scenes can be found here: http://potter.vanillaforums.com/discussion/11942/complete-list-of-unreleased-harry-potter-deleted-scenes?new=1
Release the WWII Thomas the Tank Engine Movie
Thomas the Tank Engine is a childhood favourite of mine. I collected a lot of the movies and still own all of my wooden trains and metal trains from my childhood. I personally enjoyed Thomas and the Magic Railroad, and would also like the Director's Cut of that to be released. Another Thomas movie was in the works for release this year (2013) or in 2014, however, it appears to be unofficially cancelled, as the project has not picked up steam (pun intended). The film, unlike the recent TV show seasons, would have been made with real models like the Heydays of the TV show and Magic Railroad. There would have been a great story about a Father and his son, with merchandise made for adults ( http://ttte.wikia.com/wiki/"The_WWII_Movie"). Thomas taught me a lot growing up, morals about beign VERY useful, and finding a way! If the Muppets can get a movie for a new generation, then Thomas sure can! My little cuzin LOVES Thomas and would REALLY love to see it too! I know a lot of fans on You tube and on sites that want to see this movie as well! There was a petition that tried to restore the Magic Railroad movie director's cut, that failed. Please do not let this one fail too! To relive my childhood, I would LOVE to have this movie be made. Its not officially cancelled yet, but if there is a lot of support, the film could be entered into production. Please sign and share this petition, your support would be greatly appreciated!
Release the unreleased Land Before Time Deleted scenes/release it on Blu Ray
The Land Before Time is a childhood favourite movie of mine and many others. It is a considerably VERY short film, at 69 minutes, having lost a lot of it's footage. Some of it can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wfd3x1LtwI As well, taken from the Wikipedia article: Like Disney's The Black Cauldron and The Jungle Book, which were made years earlier, and Warner Bros./Zoetrope's The Outsiders, which was made five years earlier, The Land Before Time went under a severe cutting and editing of footage. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas thought that some scenes in the movie would appear too frightening or could even cause psychological damage to young children. Around 10 minutes of footage, a total of 19 fully animated scenes, were cut from the final film. A lot of the cut footage consisted of the Tyrannosaurus rexattack sequence and sequences of the five young dinosaurs in severe situations of peril and negative stress. The scene of Sharptooth landing on the back of Littlefoot's mother was altered so that it was only shown in shadow, though some early VHS of the film have been said to have the original version of the scene. Don Bluth was unhappy with the cuts, and fought for all the footage, but in the end he had to settle on a final running time of 69 minutes, one of Don Bluth’s shortest; in fact one of the shortest feature films ever produced (depending on how "feature film" is defined). As of today, the original cut of the film with the removed scenes has not been released on video or DVD and it is not known if the motion footage still exists. Some stills do exist, however, including deleted Sharptooth scenes, stills from the original ending, Ducky making faces, and Spike being enticed with berries by Ducky, from a scene that was to have included Cera arguing against Spike coming with the group. A couple of these scenes apparently did make it into the movie novelization, however, and others were in the picture books released with the original film. Many fans of The Land Before Time are trying to recover these scenes and add them into the movie again. Supposedly, one tape that included the deleted scenes was sent to a Finnish company by mistake, and was aired on their TV station. However, this has not been confirmed, and could possibly be a rumor. There also appears to be a deleted scene involving the main characters happening on an oasis inhabited by a group of "crown-heads" (Pachycephalosaurus/domeheads) who tell the group that only their own kind can eat, and "gray-noses" (Saurolophus/bigmouths) who say only their own kind can drink. The two species refuse to share food/water, even though both will eventually die at the end. This is when Cera realises that judging others by their species is not the best thing to do. Ducky is told by the gray-noses that she can drink because she is like them, but the others cannot, so the group moves on to find their own food. This scene appears in the book "Friends in Need" and "The Land Before Time: The Illustrated Story". In "Friends in Need" the illustration is of the movie scene where the stand of trees are eaten by the longnecks, but in the Illustrated Story it shows a painted picture of the scene (although not footage from the actual movie). This scene was presumably removed to tone down the racism aspect of the film. The film's ending was also altered. The original version had Littlefoot finding the Great Valley on his own, after Cera and the rest of the group go their own way. He would then have gone back to find the others and help them defeat Sharptooth, before they all entered the valley. Evidence of this ending remains in the scene of Littlefoot talking to his mother's spirit after the death of Sharptooth. The rock pushed onto Sharptooth's head is still there in the background, on its ledge, because this scene was meant to appear before the death scene. This ending also appears in three children's books released along with the original film, "Friends in Need", "The Search for the Great Valley", and "The Land Before Time: The Illustrated Story". A scene of Ducky taunting Sharptooth by making faces in the water and part of the scene after the gang get green-food from the tree were also cut. Some scenes with the characters in the movie screaming were revoiced with them having milder exclamations Many fans, myself included would love to see these restored scenes. As of now, the movie has not yet been released on Blu ray. Please sign and share this petition so that we can get the film released on Blu ray with its deleted scenes either edited into the movie or as deleted scene files themselves.
Release the Unreleased Deleted Scenes from the Percy Jackson movies
The Percy Jackson movies are great adapations of the books despite several moments from them being changed or left out. There were many scenes that were filmed for the movies, including some that were never released. Several of these deleted scenes restore moments from the books that fans have cherished, and if released could change their overall opinion of the movies, appreciating them more for all the changes that they have made. Even non-book fans could benefit from seeing these deleted moments, which could help fix issues that they had with the movies as well. If you would like to see these deleted scenes released either separately or as part of a director's cut of the movies, then please sign and share this petition to as many people as you can and across social networks.
Put Disney's Dinosaur in Kingdom Hearts III
Disney's Dinosaur is a marvelous film that has great morals that would tie itself in greatly with the themes of Kingdom Hearts. The Lion King World, the Pride Lands, featured in Kingdom Hearts II proved popular for its unique gameplay involving Sora & co. turning into four legged animals to control. A Dinosaur themed World would follow suit in gameplay style, not to mention that as Kingdom Hearts III (and likely all the games onwards) will have a new techonology of shading to make the graphics more realistic. As Dinsoaur was made with realistic looking graphics (combined with real locations), the world would look amazing. It would be similar to the Pride Lands, but unlike the repetiveness of the worlds often used in past KH games, this would would be a new experience while still being familiar to players in the style of gameplay, which is ideally what should have happened for some of the repeated worlds used in previous games: Make a similar world instead of just rehashing the exact same world over and over again. Sora, or the protagonist can learn about survival, and elaborating on standing up for the misfits, which has been done before, but this will be more direct and emotional. The world would add an overall darker and intense tone to go with the growning up discussed by the KH producer with regards to the tone and story of the game. Dinosaur Dream Eaters, and even some Heartless have been done; the enemeis of Kingdom Hearts are supposed to resemble monsters, and the main antagonist of Dinosaur, the Carnotaurs, are quite wicked looking and would make a great reference for the original enemies, as would the velociraptors, also making awsome boss fights! Sora/the progatonist could become an iguanadon (there have been lots of Deviant Art designs of Sora looking like this), Donald, a ptearasaur, Goofy a turtle like he did in the Pride Lands, or maybe a triceratops/pachyrhinosarus/styracosaurs. He would also make for a good Stygimoloch. One KH fan posted that a Heartless resembling a T-Rex could be an optional boss; Aladar would be an ally, with Bruton being a temporary Ally like Riku in Monstro (KH1), perhaps there could be two world allies for once. Not necessarily for Kingdom Hearts III, Dinosaur would make a great addition to franchise.
Constantin Film: Make the remaning Mortal Instruments books into movies
The City of Bones movie showed great potential in its over all interpretation of the book. The casting was close to perfect and the overall feeling of the book was well captured. While some parts were exeucted weakly, over all the film showed great potential should its cinematic universe be continued. Its already been promised that the City of Ashes movie will be way more closer to the book, as was many second installments of book adapation movies. Chamber of Secrets, New Moon and Sea of Monsters were all much closer to the book than their first installments were, and fans liked them much better than the first one as well. You must also consider that this was the people working on City of Bones' first time, so now that they know the world better and have listened to feedback, then the second time around may indeed be the charm! Just give it a chance, even if you did not like City of Bones, hang in there, City of Ashes onwards could be amazing films that could be even better than the books! Ps. City of Bones due on on Blu ray Dec. 3!!!!! Buy, rent it, give it as a gift etc. in order to help support City of Ashes being made!!!!!!!!! And tell others to do the same Update: City of Ashes is back in production BUT that still does not mean that we should take this for granted. Still sign and share this petition, and buy the blu ray when it comes out as it will show further support: http://tmisource.com/2013/10/23/production-on-city-of-ashes-to-restart-in-2014/#comment-91691
Make Hobgoblin show up in the Amazing Spider-Man movie Universe
The Hobgoblin is one of the most amazing villains in the Spider-man universe. He has multiple identities and has a rather cool look. He would be a good villain to add onto as we have already seen the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (and VERY likely will in Amazing Spider-Man 2 + onwards). Having the Hobgoblin be in this film series will offer us a different take on the goblins. If he could at least be feaured in the movie's video game spin offs, if not the actual movie, then tahtd make my day as Hogoblin is my favourite Spider-Man Villain! Choices for the role could be Tom Felton, Jackson Rathbone, James Laferty, Morris Chesnut, Ian Somderhader
Make Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past share continutity with the Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has proved successful in having all of the characters and stories crossover with each other. Through it, it has made each film more successful and has drawn more fans to each film through the connections. In the comic books, video games and tv series, this is particularly very common for the superheroes to crossover and meet up. As both X-Men and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are very popular, many people will have probably seen both, and in having both be connected, they could benefit from each other. Besides, consider this: - Both Quicksilver actors were from the first Kick-Ass movie, and they both look and sound alike - Bryan Singer (director of the next/first two X-Men movies) tweeted "Before he was an Avenger..." with regards to including Quicksilver in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past movie - Audiences are going to get confused and hyped up for nothing, when they see that both Quicksilvers are supposed to be different; call it the biggest form of "ass grabbing" - Both universes could tie in good with each other. - Mark Miller (the Fox Marvel Movies Consultant) and Vin Diseal (who will be voicing Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, and another unidentified Marvel Cinematic Universe character) have hinted that they would like a "merging of the brands" and "have all stories feel as if they are happening at the same time" - Lauren Shuler Donner (Producer of the X-Men movies) has stated that she would love to have the X-Men crossover with Marvel Cinematic Universe, as does Hugh Jackman who plays Wolverine on multiple occaisions. - Jackman has also stated that he may be "hanging up his claws" for good with regards to continuing playing Wolverine. Robert Downey Jr's contract expired after Iron Man 3, and he was unsure if he wanted to return as Iron Man, but then signed on to return for both Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Avengers 3. Likely, this was partly due to working with an ensmble cast, rather than solo, as he is still unsure if he will return for Iron Man 4 (which will eventually be made, even if not for a long while), or even for a cameo in another Marvel Cinematic Universe movie (he was supposed to cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy, but Marvel did not want to recast him, so it was (potentially) written out). If X-Men is able to be part of an ensemble group (outside of the already huge group in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past film, as Jackman has stated this AFTER doing Days of Future Past), then Jackman very likely may return, especially since he is very interested in doing a crossover with the ensemble group. So, for those who don't want to say goodbye to Hugh Jackman was Wolverine yet, then it would be in your best interest to sign this petition.
