Put Jake "The Snake" Roberts into the 2016 Royal Rumble!
Jake "The Snake" Roberts is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He is the creator and the master of the DDT, a stellar in ring performer, has great skills on the microphone and as a storyteller, and has one the coolest gimmicks in the history of the business. He can be one of the most beloved babyfaces or one of the most dastardly heels, depending on what he is called to portray. All this together makes him the total package when it comes to pro wrestling and sports entertainment. Since 2012, he has been on quite an incredible journey that has been dubbed the Resurrection of Jake The Snake Roberts. He has risen like a phoenix from the ashes from the depths of alcoholism and drug addiction that he has struggled with for so many years, completely changing the course of his life from one that would end in destruction into one that has brought him happiness, health and peace and that continues to inspire countless others. With the help of his friend Diamond Dallas Page and his DDPYOGA exercises, Jake is in the best shape he has been in years: body, mind and soul. Not even a recent cancer scare could derail his possitive track, and he is now cancer free. He recently returned to WWE and took his rightful place in the Hall of Fame class of 2014 and was on hand for Wrestlemania XXX. In addition, he continues to stay active on the indie wrestling scene and even holds seminars helping to mold and elevate the stars of tomorrow. He now even has a touring one man show where he delights the crowd with unique stories from his life in the wrestling business. The future continues to look bright for this legend of the squared circle. During the course of his "resurrection", he set a goal for himself: to enter the over the top rope 30 man Royal Rumble match in 2014. For one reason or another (most likely to save his big reappearance for the Hall of Fame) WWE did not include him in the match. Jake made a statement following the Rumble that he would like to shoot for following year. In 2015, the Royal Rumble happened to be the weekend of the Slamdance Film Festival, where Jake was instead there to premier "The Resurrection of Jake The Snake", a documentary about his journey to sobriety. But 2016 is a new year... Let's continue to help write the incredible comeback story of Jake Roberts by telling the WWE that we want to see the Hall of Famer enter the 2016 Royal Rumble! It would be amazing to see him grace WWE's squared circle one more time, and what better event than the Royal Rumble? A place where he could continue to inspire (fans and talent alike) and could continue to help mold and elevate other talent, this time in a WWE ring, all the while teaching us to never give up on our dreams and our goals! ... and so we can see some long overdue DDTs :-) So join me in giving back to this icon of pro wrestling by letting your voice be heard by WWE. With Jake on great terms with the company, it's never been more possible, and its never been more fitting for his legendary return. Also, it's never been more apparent that WWE will listen to what the fans want, so let's tell them what we want to see!
