Reward Women For Not Having Children
The effects over population has been felt on every continent on earth. In each circumstance, there is individually complex assortment of issues. From unprecedented figures on child starvation, to child slavery, human trafficking, and organ harvesting; we know our large human family is in jeopardy. In the U.S. there have been numerous actions made this year to limit women's access to birth control and abortion. Aside from fighting for the universal access to these luxuries, what if the U.S could set a global example for dealing with the crisis of over population? What if women in the U.S. could be paid every year they choose to be "childless"? In this example, all women of child bearing ages could receive a check from the government every year they confirm that have never had any children. Not only could this idea help change our culture of gender so that having babies becomes less "hip" but also would help women struggling at the bottom rungs of society. How many more stories of women giving birth in jail cells, or babies being found in dumpsters do we need? How many times must we hear of Planned Parenthoods selling the parts of aborted fetuses? Let's by pass the entire mindset that contributes to each and every pregnancy. Let women know that they are appreciated as women, and not as wombs.
