put an end to the lockdown at Mississippi Correctional Facility
Prisons in the State of Mississippi have been on lock down for almost two months now, with no end date in site. The inmates have their food rations cut in half, and some don't even get food every day. The food supply is running out, and there is no soup for showering. I am concerned about the health of the inmates, and the frustration level is getting high for them. Inmates are fighting with one another more often now, and the tension level is escalating. There is no visitation during lock downs, and inmates do need contact with the outside world to keep their sanity. There are also some who are wrongfully convicted in every prison, and the lock downs stop these inmates from going ahead with their proceedings. I am asking everyone reading this petition to please sign it. Inmates are human beings too, and they need to be properly cared for and rehabilitated. I truly believe that the North American prison system needs to change over to a system like the Norwegian prison system, where rehabilitation and respect are at the top: Not punishment and degradation. Palicia Hall I am asking you to lift the lock downs in the state of Mississippi for the benefit of the inmates.
