Petition to Lionell Spruill Sr., Rick West, Robert Duvall, Robert M. Blue, Tom Farrell, Cliff Hayes, Norfolk City Council
Virginia Natural Gas wants to install a 24” steel natural gas pipeline, called the Southside Connector, which will run from Salter Street in Norfolk to Bainbridge Boulevard and S Military Highway in Chesapeake. This project would run through many residential neighborhoods such as Indian River, Georgetown, Holly Point and Berkley in Chesapeake, causing safety, health, water contamination, and property rights problems. This is an unwanted and unwarranted project., natural gas service is already available to these areas, and demand for natural gas remains flat.We demand that our elected representatives and our utilities step up for us and put people before profit and cancel this proposed project.
Petition to North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), Collin County Commissioners Court
The NCTCOG and the Collin County Commissioners Court are at it again.
Being proposed is an 8-lane, 150' wide, three structure bridge across the HEART of Lake Lavon. This bridge would roughly span from East Fork Park to the peninsula (Clear Lake Park). Once such a bridge is built, there is NO going back... the lake will change FOREVER!
Join us in an effort to keep Lake Lavon and the areas around the lake unimpeded, natural, and an asset for generations to come. Just as with the Blackland Corridor and the Lake Lavon Bridge proposed 7 years ago, this can be stopped and other routes found, IF we band together and make our voices heard.

Petition to Community Assessment Program, Bureau of Environmental Health
Our community has learned that four of our wells that supply municipal drinking water have tested positively for significant levels of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These four wells draw drinking water from the Barnes aquifer, from which the communities of Southampton, Easthampton, and Holyoke also draw drinking water. The contaminants are believed to have entered the aquifer as a result of fire training exercises held between 1950 and 1987 at Barnes Air National Guard Base, which is located above a portion of the aquifer.
This petition is to request accurate characterization of our Community's exposure to perfluoroalkyl substances through blood testing (specifically PFOA, PFOS, PFBuS, and PFHxS). We would like to know if and how the concentrations of these chemicals in our bodies are decreasing over time. As a community, we do not know the dosage or duration of our exposure or what, if any, related health outcomes we could be experiencing now or in the future.
We ask that the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Bureau of Environmental Health agree to take on this project under the cooperative agreement with the Agency for Toxic Substances Disease Registry, and help our City's residents understand what their level of exposure has been, and whether or not any significant patterns in health outcomes exist.
We cannot undo our exposure, but we can approach the situation directly, scientifically, and with public health as our first priority.
Please help the residents of Westfield, Massachusetts accurately characterize their exposure and their risk with blood testing for PFAS.
Petition to Philadelphia Water Department
In my neighborhood there is a plumbing problem causing the houses in the area to have a backup of fecal matter, flooding and other plumbing issues. The city has dug up the septic tank that is connected to each house claiming to repair it but the problem is still present. The Philadelphia Water Department has currently shut off our water until the problem is resolved but we believe the problem is on the Philadelphia Water Department to correct. This issue is a matter of public health including my family.
