In seguito alla dichiarazione dell’OMS del 30-01-2020 -inerente la recente epidemia di Coronavirus di Wuhan, dell’accorpamento di Taiwan come parte della Cina Continentale e alla conseguente sospensione del traffico aereo diretto da e per Taiwan imposto dal governo italiano fino ad Aprile, per scongiurare il rischio di un’espansione epidemica- chiediamo alle istituzioni nazionali interessati, di sospendere questa misura cautelativa che risulta eccessiva e limitativa (ritenuta poco funzionale anche secondo l’opinione dell’OMS stessa) sia per il popolo taiwanese che italiano.
Inoltre suddetta misura, limita esclusivamente i voli diretti tra Roma e Taipei, non limitando i voli tra il resto dell’Europa e l’isola taiwanese, risultando quindi inefficace e facilmente raggirabile.
Supportiamo la posizione del Ministro degli Affari Esteri Joseph Wu, che si è espresso negativamente riguardo alla questione sopracitata.
Vogliamo ricordare che lo stato INDIPENDENTE di Taiwan dista circa 1.000 Km dall’epicentro epidemico di Wuhan, che è la medesima distanza intercorrente tra Roma e Lione.
Infine i contagi al momento sono circa 15 in tutta la realtà insulare di Taiwan(36.193 km2), che quindi per la sua impostazione geografica e politica non può essere accorpata all’emergenza della Cina continentale.

最近武漢新型冠狀病毒流行，由於世界衛生組織將台灣列為中國大陸的一部分，義大利政府於2020年1月30日宣布中止進出台灣的空運直航直到四月，以避免疫情擴大的風險。我們要求國家相關單位暫停這項對台灣和義大利人民都過於嚴格的限制性預防措施。世界衛生組織亦不認同此舉。
此外，上述措施僅限制了羅馬和台北之間的直飛航班，而沒有限制歐洲其他地區和台灣本島之間的航班，不但效果不彰而且容易被規避。
我們支持外交部長吳釗燮（Joseph Wu）的立場，他亦對上述措施表達遺憾。
在此提醒，台灣這個獨立的國家距離冠狀病毒的武漢大約1000公里，等同於義大利羅馬到法國里昂之間的距離。
最後，目前在台灣全島（36,193平方公里）中，僅約有15個確診案例，其地理環境和政治方針，不應該與中國的狀況混為一談。

Following the declaration of WHO concerning 1/30/2020 on the recent epidemic of Wuhan Coronavirus, in uniting Taiwan as a part of Mainlaind China,resulting in the suspension of air traffic directed from and to Taiwan imposed by the Italian government until April, to impede the risk of an epidemicexpansion, we ask that the relevant national institutions tosuspend this preventive measure (which is not very functional even according to WHO's own opinion)that is both excessive and limitative for the people of Taiwan and Italy.
Other than the above-mentioned measure, which limits exclusivelythe direct flights between Rome and Taipei, it doesn't limit the flightsbetween the rest of Europe and the island of Taiwan, resulting thereforeineffective and easily cheatable.
We support the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu, who expressednegatively to this above-mentioned issue.
We want to remind you that the INDEPENDENT state of Taiwan sits at about1000 KM away from the epidemic epicenter of Wuhan, which is the same distance between Rome and Lyon.
Lastly, the number of confirmed cases are about 15 in the whole island of Taiwan (35,193 KM2), and therefore for its geographicaland political setting it could not be included as the Mainland China's emergency.
