I want EZ Pass to waive their administrative fees to EZ Pass account holders !

Every single day EZ Pass is taking advantage of customers, either their machines at bridges, thruways and tunnels are not properly reading the device tags on customers cars or there are numerous fees of $50.00 for a toll that can be as low as $1.25 up to $15.00 and instead of resolving the issue with EZ Pass, they will send your violations into collections where you are forced to pay with your hard earned money or else non payment can result into suspension of your vehicle registration, which you need active to get to work and make a living. I traveled across the Outerbridge Crossing and my device was not read while crossing the toll lane; however, I had money in my EZ Pass account. They sent me a toll violation in the mail which I never received due to change of address but it was too late and the violation went into collections where they are forcing me to pay a $50 fee. I know some of you may say $50 is not a lot of money; however, it's the same money I need to replenish my account and with our economy, money isn't easy to make and I work hard for my money. The people in collections say they have no way of waiving the fee; however, that is a complete lie and these collection agencies and EZ Pass New York or taking advantage of people with these cash less toll lanes and hitting people with over thousands of dollars in toll fees which they won't waive which is unfair especially if your an EZ Pass account holder. This needs to stop and I need your help spreading awareness. How are customers held liable for scanners at the bridges, tunnels and thru-ways not properly reading customers vehicle tags? How are customers supposed to travel and get to work with a suspended registration because these EZ pass toll's are such a high amount to pay and it is not affordable to many people across the state? If you look at other states other states charge way less for tolls. I understand that New York City is a metropolitan area and a very busy and expensive area; however, there has to be A fair system where you can pay your toll's and avoid fees or have your fees waived if you are an EZ Pass account holder. I have one friend who is being charged over $15,000 of tolls and only $3,000 of that amount is the actual toll amount and the rest is all fees! I need help spreading this message. it is completely unfair for us hard-working New Yorkers that work eight hours a day or more trying to survive and taking care of our families being forced to pay these high tall amounts which is something that we are adjusted and used to doing but with these fees on top of that how are we supposed to get to work and how are we supposed to pay our bills when most of our money is going to EZ Pass ??

For 20 years. The State of Texas has allowed and encouraged the development of a complicated, abusive and convoluted Toll Road infrastructure. Arguably "negligent" legislation, enacted by lawmakers in Austin has enabled regional toll operators to "create" their own, individual operating regulations - many of which are unique to each regional toll system. This "lack of control and regulation" has directly resulted in a Toll Road System that is ABUSIVE to citizens. The operating structure of the Toll Road System across the entire State of Texas MUST change. Current state laws do not adequately regulate Toll Road Operations or protect citizens from the "pitfalls" of the current laws, regulations and operating nature of Toll Infrastructure. The result - True harm is coming to Texas citizens in the form of egregious fines, harassment, loss of driving privileges, an inability to register vehicles, arrests financial abuse and other circumstances that are due, not because Texans are outlaws trying to abuse the Toll system but instead, caused directly by the lack of proper regulation and oversight to prevent a Toll System that is NOT citizen Friendly. There is a general consensus among ALL Texans is that lawmakers are turning a blind eye to the facts presented to them. They are unwilling to address the pleas of the people and the people feel helpless and violated. There is no charter within the Texas Constitution enabling or allowing our government to create, encourage and operate a mode of transportation that  is incompatible with the Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution.  "All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit" Therefore, we the people of the state of Texas are informing you, our elected officials, that the Current system of the Toll Road Infrastructure in Texas is NOT operating in a mode that is strictly beneficial to the citizens of Texas. Instead, lawmakers have created a system fraught with abusive, corrupt, unethical and Unconstitutional practices. These abuses and non-beneficial practices have repeatedly been presented to State Lawmakers who have ignored us, refused to listen to us and failed to act in accordance with the very charter of your office under the State Constitution.  TOLL ROADS ARE NOT CITIZEN FRIENDLY! We the people DEMAND that State legislators listen to, and address the litany of Unconstitutional, Unethical, abusive and non-beneficial "causes" of Unrest surrounding Toll Roads in Texas. WHAT WILL RESULT As an elected official, you have a responsibility to sensibly look out for the best interests of the people, to act in a manner that is in accordance with the best interests of the People and therefore, to correct the egregious operating concerns outlined herein. If you fail to act, We The People are prepared to file what may become the largest Class Action Lawsuit in Texas History in Federal Court to seek legal remuneration including injunctive, compensatory, special and incidental damages.

Raise Speed Limits in Santa Rosa County & Eliminate Garcon Point Toll

Raise the speed limits on US-98 and FL-87. Raise speed limits on US-98, East of Gulf Breeze Proper, to no lower than 45mph. Raise speed limits on US-98 in the barren Midway area to no lower than 60mph. Raise speed limits on US-98 near central Navarre back to 45mph. Raise speed limits on the barren Eglin stretch of FL-87 to no lower than 60mph, with the exception of active construction zones. Eliminate the Garcon Point Toll. We're tired of the traffic and we're tired of the petty tickets. People need to get to work. Stop making your deputies enforce blatantly low speed limits and ticket hard working people. The traffic through Gulf Breeze is atrocious and we're sick of it. The only other Westbound alternative for people traveling US-98 is the Garcon Point Toll Bridge, which charges motorists $3.75 to avoid traffic. Seems intentional. Don't use the excuse that ticket and toll revenue is used to build the new roads. Santa Rosa County's 2014 Revenue and Spending Audit says otherwise. 2014's audit is the most recent available. 2015-16 remains unavailable to the public without a formal request. Santa Rosa County spent A THIRD of their budget on "PUBLIC SAFETY" as opposed to only 14.3% on TRANSPORTATION. Santa Rosa County's revenue from "Judgements, Fines, Forfeits, Misc. and Other (undisclosed sources)" totals 14.5%; nearly breaking even with transportation expenditures.
