No Daylight Savings Time
Daylight Savings Time should be eliminated from the whole United States because it is not needed anymore and now can be a hazard. We originally had daylight savings time because we needed much more agriculture and farmers needed to wake up before sunrise. Now, we do not need as many farms and the farms we have are larger and almost fully automated. So, when daylight savings time hits, it can disorient peoples sleeping schedules and make them be late or very tired at work many days in a row. Also, there are many other countries without daylight savings time and that could create some international flight problems with these countries. Therefore, we should get rid of daylight savings time and make America Great Again!!! Sign this petition!

Help Babies Sleep Safely By Banning Crib Bumpers
The number of infants who have died because of crib bumpers has tripled, according to the most recent research. This popular bedding item can lead to strangulation or suffocation. Currently, there are no federal regulations restricting the sale of bumpers, even though the American Academy of Pediatrics, National Institute of Health, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention all recommend against them. Every baby should have a safe sleeping environment. We want to prevent as many infant deaths as we possibly can, so we are asking that the Consumer Product Safety Commission ban these products. Please join this immensely important movement - sign our petition and spread the word on your social media pages with #SayNoToBumpers.

Later School Start LPS
Please sign this petition to help have the school start time changed to a later time. Students need more sleep and with the current school schedules more than 8 hours of sleep is extremely difficult. Also a lot of school work is unable to be managed by sleep deprived stressed students. We need this! Thanks!

Restore Later School Start Times
Hundreds of schools around the United States have restored later school times, and the overall school environment has been measurably improved when these changes took place. Students who are tired and sleep deprived cannot learn at their best. It impacts memory, attention, and learning just as much as it impairs the students overall well-being. Great academic improvements have been shown in studies done in 44 states that have made this change already. Hundreds of school communities have found ways to make this happen by prioritizing health and learning, and with this improvement in the classroom environment, students can be more alert, less moody, and less likely to fall asleep in class. This change needs to happen. Early school hours are out-of-sync with the sleep needs and patterns of students and PREVENT many from getting the 9 or so hours of sleep that most teenagers and young adults need. The health and equity benefits to pushing back the start time of school to a later time is irrefutable.

Michigan Students Stress
Hello, I'm Andrew Born, I attend Soo Saint Marie High School (SAHS) And In my Years of education, I've always noticed that school starts too Early. Now yes, I'm a high-school student, but our whole educational career we have been waking up extremely early, now this is not just a problem for High-schoolers or Middle-schoolers, i noticed it as i went to Kindergarten to 5th grade, ( Elementary school. ) We as students have to wake up mostly around 5:00 AM Or 6:00 AM to go to school, now this may seem simple, and "do-able" but our growing bodies, and minds ARE NOT getting enough sleep. This has been known to cause stress, massive stress, especially as highschoolers, our bodies are transitioning into adults and fully capable human beings but during this period, our bodies are not "requesting" sleep untill 12 or 1 AM. As a simple request, To the board of Education, and other educational "Advisors" or Higher positioned officials in the educational system, to Start Middle Schools, and Highschools In Michigan At 10:05 AM And ending at 5:00 the same amount of school time is available, only starting at a later time. As One of the many struggling Students, We are not begging for change, we are Asking, as a Student, Please.

Make Colleges Create a Designated Naptime
College students have a lot of work to do. From projects, to papers, to the simple chaos in life, university students are frequently pulled in every direction. If colleges scheduled an hour for nap time throughout the day, students would be more active and engaged with the classroom setting. We're very tired. Make it happen.
