Petition to Mark Zuckerberg
No censorship on women's breasts on Facebook
This petition is to get Facebook to remove the censorship of women's nipples! Women and men have the exact same make up when it comes to breasts and nipples however men are allowed to expose theirs but women can't! This is unfair and extremely sexiest and needs to change. Ontop of being unfair, it's also another way of sexualising the female breast and adds to the stigma of breastfeeding-why censor something that is completely natural!

Eliminate misogynistic and degrading slogans and imagery.
My 11 year old daughter was with her grandfather in the Blue Mountains a few days ago, when she read the slogan: 'In every princess, there's a little slut who wants to try it just once' on the back of a Wicked Camper van. This is the only way I can explain how offensive it is. When one reads such a slogan, the same thing happens to every person who understands it - which my 11 yr old did - we picture it. This business, makes us picture that and many other degrading things. You can either gain pleasure from this image or disgust. Those who gain pleasure are the problem - yet they have a platform to spread their vile perspectives. My daughter was upset by this because she felt, as a girl, that the slogan was refering to her and it made her fear being perceived that way - especially by someone she may cross paths with who may agree with that perspective. This particular phrase promotes paedophilia and resonates very badly with everyone who thinks it's abhorrent to sexually assault a girl, especially by groomed males who think 'she wants it'. Slogans such as this ring too familiar to real life attrocities, such as the recent discovery of Rolf Harris's sexual assaults; enacting on a girl as young as eight. It is inconceivable that Wicked Campers choose to not only write the misogynistic 'joke' but also then publicise it through their moving, billboard vans. Disgustingly they have also promoted that, 'Fat girls are harder to kidnap.' Shame on them. Adult females are also degraded into sexual objectification and disrespect - with slogans on show for people of all ages to indiscriminately see and absorb: 'A wife: An attachement you screw on the bed to get the housework done.''A blowjob is a great last minute gift!''I wouldn't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die!' Racism has also played a part with slogans such as:'Save the whales, harpoon a Jap.' You get the idea. Are you happy with this? This business (amongst many others) thrives on pleasing a small demographic of people, who find it funny to mock those who may be living the horrible realities perspectives such as these manifest. But we are the majority, not them.Enough. It is time to say enough - with calm, intelligent but firm resolve. We must become Actionists - by looking at the action that is being performed, (regardless of gender), deciding whether it's good for us as a species and calling it out if it isn't; demand change. This is not good. I'm calling it out. Join me.Paula

Remove a Pornographic Ad from a Major Intersection
While driving her eldest daughter Lucia home from her first piano lesson one afternoon, Anna stops at a red light on the busy intersection of Wellington Street and Alexandra Parade in Fitzroy, Melbourne. As the car stands stationary, Anna notices Lucia quietly observing something outside her window. Following her gaze Anna sees, to her utter dismay, a large advertisement on the corner building, depicting a pornographic scene in which two women, clad in nothing but scanty black lingerie are sexually positioned That is when Anna decided something had to be done so that her young daughter would not have to be exposed to such images which can only affect her self-esteem and sense of womanhood for the worse. Preserving a child’s innocence and freedom from degrading depictions of ‘what it is to be a woman’ is crucially important; especially at an age where they have not yet developed a maturity of judgement which allows them to reject this kind of message. Advertisements like this do nothing to help the cause of instilling good values like self-esteem, confidence and dignity in children; in fact they actively hinder it. Signing this petition will help to improve the societal landscape which should support parents in their task of building up their children’s sense, as well as all women’s sense, of self-dignity and worth.
Petition to Bras n Things
Stop perpetuating Playboy’s lies about women and their purpose in life. Remove your 'Playboy' advertising campaign posters. Girls are worth more than this.
Bras’n’Things is promoting Playboy in their current explicit front window advertising in shopping centres all around Australia with a competition where the winner gets to have lunch with playboy bunnies in the playboy mansion. This porn brand should not be promoted to children and young people in shopping centres by responsible retailer. Playboy promotes the idea of women as subservient to the sexual fantasies of men. Playboy’s vision for young women is harmful and should not be promoted to children and young people in shopping centres by responsible retailers. Playboy women are referred to as ‘bitches’ ‘sluts’ and ‘whores’ on Playboy’s TV channels and DVDs. The Playboy brand and fortune is built on the sexual degradation of women. We must evaluate who benefits from Bras n Things' marketing of the Playboy brand. Playboy is a thriving porn brand which has infiltrated mainstream culture with a selection of pink, sparkly merchandise and ‘retro’ fashions. Rather than perpetuate Playboy’s lies about women and their purpose in life, Bras and Things have a corporate responsibility to promote the truth that women and girls have the right to be treated with respect and dignity, and live free from discrimination. What Playboy offers women and girls are damaging, stereotyped sex roles that promote women’s inequality.
