Petition to East Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors
Access to Chester Valley Trail
In November 2015 a proposed trail network was drafted by Thomas Comitta Associates for East Whiteland Township. The residential area of Spring Mill Farms, the Great Valley M.S. and H.S., and the Saint Gobain property were marked on the draft as priority to gain access to the trail. Nearly two years later, there have been no improvements to trail access made. What exists currently is a short paved path along Mill Road that has dangerous entry and exit points in blind spots on the road. No shoulder exists along this wooded, hill section of Mill Road. There is a poorly maintained mulch path on the Saint Gobain property, but it is private property. As well, there is a no crossing sign at Mill Road and Rt. 401. Many students, residents, cyclists, runners, and dog walkers use Mill Road daily to access the trail despite the obvious danger. It's an accident waiting to happen. We are asking the Board of Supervisors for East Whiteland Township to move forward with the proposed trail network and budget for the priority access areas, such as Spring Mill Farms, in 2018. Thank you for you consideration!
Petition to Mike Sommerfeld
Bring Arenberg Back
Michael Arenberg, a loved cross country coach at STCE high school was let go on 5/24. After a disappointing race, an email was sent out expressing his regret. It was an emotional night, because the results of the sectional race were unexpected and worse than what he imagined. The email was deemed as harsh and some parents were upset. He later apologized for the email. After being brought to the attention of the athletic director, he was let go. Arenberg has spent his whole life dedicated to running and the STCE girls cross country team. One of the girls he coaches describes him as the "greatest person in the world". He spends countless hours preparing for races, creating split times and making sure everyone is the best they can be. He also spends time making sure the team atmosphere is amazing, which is something that you don't get on other teams. Other girls describe him as "passionate, a great coach, amazing, enthusiastic, and encouraging." For the people who know Coach Arenberg, they will understand that this email was never meant to hurt anyone, and if it was, he apologized and regretted it. The cross country team is his life, and his family. Many girls think of him as family, and cannot imagine a cross country season without him.

Petition for Eagan Highschool in MN to have co-ed Cross Country and Track team practices
Eagan Highschool is a school in Minnesota. Its male and female Track and Cross Country teams, though simuliar, have men and woman practice in different places and at different times. They take different buses to meets when it would be much easier, less costly, and more enjoyable to practice at the same time, in the same place. Especially since a ton of race meets are at the same place for each team. Dakota Hills Middleschool (which is connected to the highschool) also has a Cross Country and Track team. Both team practices are co-ed. A lot of kids who are on the team in Middle, go on to join the team in Highschool. So why pull athletes away from these friendly relationships they have made with different young men and woman? Rosemount Highschool, which is in the same district, has co-ed practices and their team is insanely close. They cheer eachother on, have close relationships, and are friendly towards eachother. They are one of the most successful teams in the district. It would be better for the athletes and the school if these teams were connected during practices. So please help change Eagan Highschools decision to seperate the two.
