Make knowing how to speak English mandatory and a tougher citizenship test
Help bring value back to the Australian citizenship. At the moment, people looking to gain be Australian citizenship need to live in Australia for 4 years. After this time, they need to get 75% on a very easy test consisting of 20 trivia pursuit style questions. Sample questions can be found here: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Citi/pathways-processes/Citizenship-test/Australian-citizenship-test-resource/Australian-citizenship-practice-test Most people who want Australian citizenship want to take advantage of the welfare dependency (where they rely on the government to pay for their daily living) I would like to change this so that the test is changed partially to include questions about the person's character (do they agree with the laws of Australia- women's rights, gambling) and about how they have integrated into society. I would also like the change to include a basic English test (speaking, grammar, spelling) as well as the citizenship test. Please sign to make a difference.

WOMEN SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AND OPPORTUNITIES AS MEN!!!!!!!
In recent decades, women in Australia have made significant strides towards achieving equality with men. At universities, in workplaces, in boardrooms and in government, a growing number of women have taken on leadership roles, forging pathways for other women and girls to follow. In 1984, the Sex Discrimination Act came into force, making it against the law discrimination to discriminate against someone on the basis of gender, sexuality, marital status, family responsibilities or because they are pregnant. The Act, which gives effect to Australia’s international human rights obligations under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, has played an important role in changing community attitudes and helping advance gender equality in this country. Despite this progress, women and girls continue to experience inequality and discrimination in many important parts of their lives, which can limit the choices and opportunities available to them

Protect Privacy, Stop Inhumane Family Zone
Presbyterian Ladies College has chosen to enforce the mandatory download of Family Zone. An app which violates the privacy by blocking and tracking apps as well as location. This has been marketed as 'non-negotiable'. The app is increasingly flawed and expensive.
Petition to The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, The Hon. Bill Shorten MP, Australian Government, Senator Simon Birmingham
Stand up for YOUR rights at University: Remove the SSAF.
Did you know that YOU pay MILLIONS of dollars to self-serving, unrepresentative and divisive University Associations/Unions?! This is done through the Student Services and Amenities Fund (SSAF) that you pay for at the start of each year. Whilst universities should be a place where we can freely debate ideas and seek insight from a diverse cross-section of society, we have a student organisation that are only keen on further their own political ambitions/agenda and cutting YOU out of the picture!? YOU have a right to stand up and see YOUR hard earned dollars spent on enriching university experiences, not blockades, expensive gas-guzzling busses to poorly attended protests and other useless luxuries that YOU will not get access to. This is a crazy issue- sure, the campus parties may be great, and some of the work valuable, but it is remarkable that YOUR elected reps are actively working against YOUR interests. It's time we get serious on a better way to fund our university experience. Surely there is a more accountable, cost-effective and appropriate way to ensure YOUR dollars are spent on YOUR experience on campus. We want YOU to be a part in this solution. YOU can change this; sign the petition to cut-the-SSAF and stop the flow of money to inadequate groups like YOUR student association. Stand up for YOUR money, YOUR experiences and YOUR RIGHTS AT UNIVERSITY!
