Petition to Elizabeth Warren, Edward J. Markey
Removal of Slave mural hanging in US Post Office in Medford MA. The slave mural is a constant reminder of US racist past. This image should have never been commissioned to be painted in the federal building.
Concerned residents have recieved at best cursory, and not one of the publicly elected officials professed any concern over this offensive image. Various rationalizations for not acting were offered, such as "it's historical" or "its a Federal building".
So, the slave mural remains in public view - another testiment to the indifference of our elected officials to offer any attempt to correct or address past misery. It is time for us to take stance against mural and all that it represents.

Petition to Donald J. Trump, Donald J. Trump, United States Postal Service, John McCain, Arizona State Senate, Donald Trump, U.S. House of Representatives, Rand Paul, U.S. Senate
Mail carriers are battling the sweltering heat in the summers and are constantly being pushed and demands are high. Parcel volume is at a high level because of the convenience of online shopping, which of course is good for business.
However, the Arizona summers get to be 120 degrees and the LLV's get about 20 degrees hotter than that. It is illegal to leave a child or an animal in a vehicle in these conditions, shouldn't the same be applied to us? I know I don't even have a place to cool down on my lunch break.
The new fleet replacement is supposed to occur at the end of the year so it would be great if the hottest climate areas be replaced first since this may take a few years to be completed.
Petition to Tulsi Gabbard, Colleen Hanabusa, Brian Schatz, Mazie K. Hirono
Before the House goes to recess on July 27, 2018,
We, the people of Hawai’i, URGE Representatives Tulsi Gabbard and Colleen Hanabusa to co-sponsor H.Res.993 now! This bill opposes privatizing the U.S. Postal Service. The Postal Service MUST remain a public Postal Service.
Recognized in our very Constitution, the Postal Service connects all areas of this country by delivering to 157 million address, whether urban, suburban, or rural, many of which are not serviced by private companies like UPS and FedEx, and to all residents of this country, especially our kupuna.
The U.S. Postal Service is self-sustaining, not receiving tax dollars for its operations all while offering the most affordable postage rates in the industrialized world; giving preference to our American veterans, it employs over 500,000 Americans nationwide, and...employs over 2,300 Hawai’i residents. That’s 2,300 Hawai’i residents that are not unemployed; that is 2,300 Hawai’i residents with a livable wage.
The U.S. Postal Service must not be privatized. We are counting on you, Representative Gabbard and Representative Hanabusa, to co-sponsor House Resolution 993 now.
