Petition to Fans of the NFL
Fire the officials of the Lions at Packers game
On October 14th, 2019, refball occurred once again. On a crucial 3rd and 4, Aaron Rodgers threw an incomplete pass, but a flag came out with illegal use to the hands by Trey Flowers. On replay, there is no reason as to why they threw the flag, Flowers wasn’t around Bakhitari’s neck or helmet. This call gave the Packers a crucial first down to run the clock out and get Crosby closer and then he kicked the game winning field goal. If the penalty wasn’t called, Crosby may have not made the kick. If he did, the Lions would’ve had some time to potentially drive down the field and try to win it. Now although both of those are hypotheticals, and may not have happened, the refs took away the chance for the Lions to potentially win the game. Screw the refs, they should be fired after this game. And I’m not a Lions fan, I started a similar petition after last year’s NFC Championship game. I just want refs to be held accountable for their mistakes.

The Removal of Al Riveron
Within the past six weeks of the season, Al Riveron along with his crew have done nothing but ruin the sanctity of the game week in and week out. It’s not only affecting teams, but also fans alike. Even with the media and fans calling them out, it’s gotten worse every week. From uncalled obvious DPI calls to faux “hands to the face” to DPI challenges that 9/10 DON’T work, it’s gotten to the point that it’s not an isolated problem, it’s a reoccurring infection and it starts at the top. Al Riveron has proven over and over again that he is unable to lead men letting the league know that the players don’t matter and neither do the fans. As fans, you can decide or whether or not this league can accept it. Enough of the written apologies & fan displeasure, change is needed to not only the teams but also protect the game.

Petition to Roger Goodell
Fire Al Riveron, Fix The NFL Officiating!
The NFL has been plagued by poor officiating ever since Al Riveron was promoted to Senior Vice President of Officiating before the start of the 2017 season. While we understand that the officials are human and will not be perfect, the questionable calls have become more glaringly obvious and have increased in numbers since Riveron's promotion. Furthermore, after perhaps the worst call in NFL history (from last year's NFC Championship game), it appeared as though steps were finally being made to fix the officiating by allowing pass interference calls to be reviewable... only for it to be clear that Riveron wants no part of it as he refuses to overturn almost all reviewed pass interference challenges, even calls that are obviously incorrect. The NFL must fix its officiating and fast before it starts to seriously damage the quality of the league, and we believe a good start to this process is for Roger Goodell to fire Al Riveron from his position as Senior Vice President of Officiating as soon as possible. NFL officiating has been criticized more than it has ever before since his promotion, and we therefore believe that he is not the right man for the job. Further actions to fix the officiating that could be taken after firing Riveron include punishing referees who have continually made terrible calls, and being more open to suggestions from NFL owners in regards to addressing officiating and replays. Thank you for your time in reading this. If you agree, please sign this petition, and share with all your friends and family who wish to improve NFL officiating. Together we must show that we want change!

It was a catch. If not, show us the video proof
On October 12th, 2019 the University of Memphis football team was involved in an NCAA sanctioned football game vs the Temple University Owls in Philadelphia PA. During the 4th quarter of the game, there was a call made on the field of a complete pass from Brady White to Joey Magnifico that would have given Memphis a 1st down and a chance to win the game. The play on the field was reviewed and the referee decided after discussing with the replay official and watching some hidden video that has not been released that the ball touched the ground. There has not been a video released to show that the ball touched the ground or that Magnifico did not have possession of the ball. This play was called incomplete in an obvious error and affected not only the outcome of the game but also a possibility of losing millions of dollars for the University of Memphis and the AAC due to the lack of a possible New Years Six bowl invitation. I believe this call should be overturned and the rest of the game be resumed with Memphis having first down at the spot of the catch and the remaining time be played out.

Fire NFL Refs. NFL officiating needs to change. NFL is biased towards big market teams
The NFL officiating this year has been painful to watch. Calls are costing teams games and playoffs hopes. The NFL for too long has propped up teams like the Packers, Cowboys, and Patriots because they can make the league a whole lot more money than small market teams. Fans know it, but not enough people talk about it. It’s time for the NFL to change leadership and it’s time for the game to be fair again.
