Petition to People of India, Democracy of India, Citizen of India
#Rains kill in Mumbai but #Bullets kill in Kashmir-Time to stand against militant attacks.
#MondayBluesOn Monday, Abdul Rashid was posted at the Sadder police station. He was busy regulating traffic at Mahendi Kadal junction when a militant shot at his chest before disappearing into the crowded market. What was his mistake? That day Zohra lost her beloved father, like many other children of Kashmir who share such ill-fate. What was her mistake? Rampant killing by militants in South Kashmir over the last week has taken lives of many innocent Kashmiris. What was their mistake? This is a shout out to every citizen of India!!!Let's wake up from our slumber and not ignore Zohra's tears.Let's hold little Zohra's hand, Let's send out love to all of our children and our people in KashmirLet them know that they are not alone, we are in it together. They are us and we are them.Come on people of India!Time to stand united and stop this violence against our people!!
Petition to Jammu & Kashmir Bank
Change J&K Bank's Divisive 2017 Calendar
A recent article mentions 12 Inspirational Youth figures from the state of Jammu and Kashmir who may feature on Jammu and Kashmir Bank's 2017 Calendar. The selection of probable achievers, however, fails to exhibit any diversity. Even though we recognize and applaud the achievements of the mentioned achievers, the petitioners as well as other citizens of Jammu and Kashmir would love to see that other achievers from different regions of the state also get recognized. The state of Jammu and Kashmir includes regions of Jammu, Ladakh and other areas as well. The petition is for Jammu and Kashmir Bank to include Pandit, Dogri, Ladakhi, Sikh etc. names in their calendar so that the youth of the state are inspired not just based on religion and region but on the strength of the character. If Jammu and Kashmir Bank does some research they will find plenty names from other regions of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, and not just the Kashmir valley, who have shown exemplary strength of character or have achieved great heights in their field. I encourage you all to sign this petition for a more inclusive state of Jammu and Kashmir.
