Petition to Hollywood Chamber of Commerce

Where is Carrie Fisher's Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?It doesn't exist (yet)... Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) have stars. Why doesn't Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia / General Organa) have a star? Carrie Fisher was not only everyone's favorite space princess, but she also helped shape our culture! Scripts for films such as "Last Action Hero", "Sister Act", and "The Wedding Singer" were all doctored by her skilled writer-mind. Her one-woman show "Wishful Drinking" is a heartfelt, hilarious, and touching look into her personal life that changed mine. Carrie was honest about her struggles with addiction, mental illness, fame, George Lucas owning the rights to her face, and every compelling aspect of her inspiring life. Carrie Fisher deserves a star! The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce requires a fee of $50,000 for Star consideration. This petition specifically requests the Chamber eradicate the "5-year-posthumous prohibition" and give Carrie Fisher her LONG overdue recognition. I plan on joining the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and making changes from the inside. Long-term goals include founding a non-profit where cosplayers get paid a living wage to petition for women's rights issues. Project Details: #AStarForCarrie Public Performance Art Protest and Non-Profit Start-Up Ways to contribute to the project: PayPal:  Venmo: @ImaginationForSale CashApp: $GeneralOrganaStar If you would rather contribute directly to the $50,000 “fee” required by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for a star, I will not be taking money out of this crowdfund for project expenses: GoFundMe: #WhereIsCarrieFisher GoFundMe: #AStarForCarrie It's up to the fans to let the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce know that Carrie deserves to be immortalized on the Walk of Fame. Sign the petition here or if you live in the Hollywood area, come find street performer Moxie Jane dressed as the Iconic Princess Leia, and sign in person!

Petition to Hollywood Chamber of Commerce

Remove Stars Belonging to Abusers and Rapists

In the age of #MeToo, men who assault and abuse people are being held accountable for their actions. Yet the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce still insists on honoring some of the worst offenders in the film industry with stars on their Walk of Fame. Sign and demand that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce remove stars belonging to rapists and abusers. Among those honored with stars are Bill Cosby, accused of rape by over 60 women, and been convicted on three accounts, and Charlie Sheen, accused of multiple assaults against women. Six allegations of assault and harassment have been surfaced against Brett Ratner, Kevin Spacey has been accused of the same by 15 people and Gig Young murdered his wife – and yet they all have stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Even our president has a star in spite of the 22 women who have accused him of sexual assault and misconduct. Millions of tourists visit the walk each year and see stars honoring the careers of people who harassed, assaulted, and killed people. Yet when faced with mounting pressure to remove Bill Cosby’s star, the Chamber of Commerce refused, responding that "once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk." The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce isn’t respecting history by keeping these stars, it’s endorsing violence. It’s long past time the Hollywood Chamber of Congress removed violent celebrities from the Walk of Fame – add your name and join the campaign to demand better.
