Petition to United States Postal Service, John McCain, Arizona State Senate, Donald Trump, U.S. House of Representatives, Rand Paul, U.S. Senate
Mail carriers are battling the sweltering heat in the summers and are constantly being pushed and demands are high. Parcel volume is at a high level because of the convenience of online shopping, which of course is good for business.
However, the Arizona summers get to be 120 degrees and the LLV's get about 20 degrees hotter than that. It is illegal to leave a child or an animal in a vehicle in these conditions, shouldn't the same be applied to us? I know I don't even have a place to cool down on my lunch break.

This petition asks for the mayor and city council of Rancho Cucamonga to consider adding shade structures to our current parks/playgrounds.We have many beautiful and well-equipped parks in Rancho Cucamonga but they are empty most of the time (except for before 10am or after 6pm during hot summer days and summer in Rancho Cucamonga is long!) Because the play equipment in our playgrounds is made from metal and this makes it impossible for children to play on the equipment without burning their hands and legs. And also, the rubber on the playgrounds also heats up and children can suffer serious burns on their feet.
Having shade structures or similar over all the play areas will provide much needed relief from the burning sun and allow children to play in comfort and safety.
We are proud to be recognized as a Playful City USA and adding the shade structures will be a great opportunity to encourage the children to play outdoor and bring our community closer together.

Extreme Heat Advisory - The State of AZ - Stay Inside at 115* or Above
The State of Arizona needs to declare a mandatory stay at home/work from home/do not leave your house law for when temperatures reach 115* or above outside.
It is unsafe for people and animals to be out in this kind of condition. Extreme heat can effect our cars mobility with the asphalt temperatures between 40* to 60* hotter than the air temperatures which then can effect our vehicles performance.
These matters need to be taken into consideration just as a snow day would back East.
Please help sign this petition so we can get a law written that will help protect the people of Arizona.
