Barbara O'Neill under fire - appeal to HCCC

Barbara O'Neill - world renown, much loved and highly respected Nutritionist and Health Director from Misty Mountain Health Retreat is in crisis right now, with the HCCC prohibiting her to practice or speak, following false allegations from 2 people involved in a political difference with Barbara's husband Michael O'Neill, for his involvement in a party that opposes compulsory medication.  At least one of those making the allegations is an active member of the Australian Skeptics and the Friends of Science in Medicine, two organisations that use bullying and vilification extensively, and they are using the HCCC complaint process to punish or eliminate an opponent that has a differing ideology.  Barbara has never advised these people, or had personal contact with them - it is purely a bullying tactic. The complaint uses broad terms and makes sweeping allegations that are merely theorising, and not in a single instance produces any harm or danger from any person that has been advised, treated, or had connections with Barbara and Misty Mountain Health Retreat. In the next few weeks, we have a chance to share the positive experiences we have had with Barbara O'Neill, and petition the HCCC to drop the allegations, and let this talented, caring lady get back to what she does best - educating people about how to take care of their bodies using 8 simple health laws - Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance/Balance, Fresh Air, Rest, Trust/Peace. You can find out more about Barbara at www.mmh.com.au and hear one of her life-changing health talks at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DYXS2R4f14 See for yourself what a kind, knowledgable, and caring person she is.  BUT BEFORE YOU GO THERE,   PLEASE VOTE NOW TO HELP CLEAR BARBARA ONEILL's excellent name, and please share this far and wide with your networks.  We are aiming for 10,000 signatures in 2 weeks! THANK YOU for your amazing support! Friends of Barbara O'Neill

Stop Demolition of Asbestos in Shed 26 in School Term!!

Dear Minister, We, as concerned parents and carers of Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School, Le Fevre Peninsula Kindergarten and local community of the Le Fevre Peninsula respectfully request that all demolition planned for Shed 26 Semaphore Road, Birkenhead is refrained until outside of school term. Note: Based on information from Cedar Woods and The Old Red Brick Co the following hazardous building materials found in Shed 26 include asbestos; PolyChlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), Synthetic Mineral Fibres (SMFs) They are highly hazardous to the health of people. In example, the inhalation of asbestos fibres can cause respiratory diseases including asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer. Latency periods of up to 40 years are not uncommon for these diseases We believe that demolition conducted during the school term poses a grave unacceptable health risk to over 400+ school students (and teachers) and disruption to their education. Not to mention the Kindergarten adjacent whom are encouraged to have nature play which were not advised of the demolition. We are not prepared to accept any level of risk, small or large to the current and future health of our precious children. We believe that given the lack of transparency and consideration around the large asbestos removal, the size, age and structure of Shed 26, that there are no circumstances that will permit demolition to be safely undertaken with our children located inside buildings and playgrounds in such close proximity less than 500m. A report by Clarence Fellows of the Construction, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) on the 7th May 2019 Outlined some startling finds which only highlight our concerns. In regards to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Workers Health and Safety (WHS), and proper Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) in conclusion he stated ‘ This site presents uncontrolled hazards and complete lack of competent management, placing all entrants at risk. ‘ And goes on to say ‘ There was little to no safety presence on the job, from observing the workers on site little to no supervision or guidance was being given as to how the job was going to be performed. The attitude of ‘we just get in do it’ was evident. In our beliefs, a company that has been accredited to be asbestos removers can not follow basic fundamental work site protocol, they clearly can not be trusted in the safe removal of highly hazardous asbestos material with our children in care across the road. This petition demands any further demolition ONLY to be done outside school term and using best industry practice inline with Work Health and Safety Act 2012, section 274 (Approved Codes of Practice We can not prevent asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer from exposure to asbestos in the past. We WILL protect our precious children for the future. To all our signatories we encourage you all to contact our local MP Susan Close via call, email or person if you would like to let her know why you signed our petition.     Electorate Telephone: 08 8241 0300 Electorate Facsimile: 08 8241 0400 Electorate Address: 1/111 Lipson Street, PORT ADELAIDE SA 501 Electorate email: ptadelaide@parliment.sa.gov.au

Petition to Greg Hunt, Hon Greg Hunt MP

Patients First. Take urgent action for current and future Australian Lyme patients.

The Senate Inquiry into an emerging tick-borne disease that causes a Lyme-like illness for many Australians reported on November 30th, 2016. The Final Report indicated the priority was Patients First, stating: "...people are unwell, and they must be helped. It is therefore the committee's primary objective, in this, its final report on this inquiry, to put the patients first."Minister Hunt, it's time for Health Department leadership on Australian Lyme Disease – please take immediate action on the Senate Inquiry Final Report recommendations. Lyme Disease Association of Australia Statement. "The denial of locally acquired Lyme disease is based on a 20+ year old study into ticks which investigated a narrow spectrum of Borrelia and failed to further evaluate other evidence identified. International science has progressed with at least 100 Borrelia strains identified in the U.S. and up to 300 strains globally. (Source: Dr Richard Horowitz M.D.) In 2014 the government confirmed that Australia's official Lyme disease diagnostic pathology tests were ‘discordant’, meaning a negative test does not exclude the disease being present. The LDAA asserts that there is an Australian Lyme disease.  Research has not been urgently prioritised to identify the causative pathogens allowing the incidence of this emerging vector-borne disease to increase unchecked. The suggestion that patients, their carers and doctors should wait years for research projects is unreasonable. Australian Lyme patients are the evidence needed. We request the Government to prioritise Patients First.  Recognise the Lyme-like illness that is making Australians sick and make it an urgent health priority."
