Petition to Scott's Miracle-Gro, Jim Hagedorn

Tired of being a "Lab Rat" for Big Agriculture's toxic pesticides and GMO experiments?

Let’s take a quick look at what should be obvious, but isn’t. We have companies like Bayer-Monsanto and Dow-Dupont delivering toxic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, chlorpyrifos, and glyphosate to farmers who in turn poison us and our ecosystems (including dead zones and algae blooms) with those toxic chemicals. We also have large proactive groups like Moms Across America, Moms Clean Air Force, Women of Green, Pesticide Action Network, and others that help by lobbying and educating us about toxic chemicals released into our environment causing agriculture, ocean, and air pollution.  However, no one has offered a tangible and workable solution to this global crisis until now. Your support can help SmartNute grow the next generation of fruits, vegetables, and cannabis while helping to minimize global pesticide poisoning and the algae bloom and dead zone crisis. Exposure to pesticides through the air, our food, and the environment has proven to be damaging to human health (3X more for children), including cancer. This is crazy! Why did we ever let it get that way? Most of us love strawberries, right? Well, one acre of normally grown strawberries can be covered with 300 pounds of pesticides -- about 11 times more than the average food crop, which is already overloaded with pesticides. However, it gets worse. In strawberry crop samples, the USDA found 19 honeybee toxins, 12 developmental toxins (children), 11 neurotoxins (children), and 9 known carcinogens. Let's begin now to build a toxic-free future for our children. In extensive crop testing, pesticides (including arsenic and glyphosate residues) were proven to poison and change the taste of wines. Pesticides have not only poisoned wine but also organic wine and beer due to wind drift and systemic (root) action. Glyphosate is the center of attention in the current Bayer-Monsanto Landmark Cancer Trial in San Francisco and is attracting worldwide attention. Glyphosate, one of Roundup’s most toxic chemicals (used in 700 different herbicides), was found in 100% of California wines tested.  Recently, Hawaii banned the use of pesticides containing chlorpyrifos, a widely-used chemical that’s been linked to severe developmental delays and other health risks in children. Even though the current Administration denied a petition to ban pesticides with this chemical over a year earlier, Hawaii is setting a positive example for all of us to follow and say "NO" to toxic pesticides that poison us on a daily basis. Now, it's your turn to say "NO" to toxic pesticides!

Tell the EPA NO Genetically Modified Mosquitoes!

Right now, a British company named Oxitec is planning to release genetically modified mosquitoes into the fragile enviroment of the Florida Keys and Texas. The company wants to use the Florida Keys and Texas  as a testing ground for these mutant bugs. Even though the local community in the Florida Keys has spoken -- we even passed an ordinance demanding more testing -- First ,  Oxitec is trying to use a loophole by applying to the FDA for an "animal bug" patent. Now, the hot potato has passed to the EPA and  Oxitec is at it again. This profit driven biotech company wants to release more than 50 million GMO mosquitoes per week into Florida and Texas. These GMO mosquitoes could pose major risks to fragile ecosystems like the Florida Keys  and Texas and may pose risks to public health and safety.     Once again, Oxitec wants to treat people like human experiments. Even though the EPA doesn’t have enough information about the environmental, health and even indirect economic impacts of these insects, it might give Oxitec the green light. Over the past several years, we all raised our voices to help stop what would’ve been the first release of millions of GMO mosquitoes in the U.S. Now, we need to stop this non-consensual experiment again!  “Tell the EPA to not approve the GMO mosquito”         “We do not consent to being a human experiment and we do not want GMO mosquitoes" Over 30 local physicians, have created a petition to ask for more evaluation of the risk of this GMO mosquito antibiotic dependency  mosquitoes and the possible development of antibiotic resistance risks as result of this experiment. This GMO Mosquitoes are created with E-Coli bacteria, herpes-simplex virus and other ingredients. This is very premature technology with very little information, a lot of questions need to be answer. The Center for Disease Control notes that Oxitec’s trials are not set up to test for disease reduction. If the experiments goes forward, there would still be enough non-GMO mosquitoes in the environment, including in peoples’ homes and backyards, to spread disease. Even the head of Cayman Islands, which recently rejected GMO mosquitoes, has said that GMO mosquitoes will not be a solution for Zika and Dengue Fever. This is a medical intervention without consent. We need real solutions, not GMO mosquitoes.  Oxitec applied to the FDA as an animal drug it took years to decide and now a huge overwhelm opposition to pass the “hot potato” to the EPA. Now, Oxitec applied the mosquitoes as a pesticide with very little information on the release to the public and to the scientist for doing a proper evaluation. British Biotech Oxitec has not been very transparent and demonstrate desprecua? In the data, including reduction of percentage of mosquitoes, survival rates, life span and more females per percentage. This is very concerning because in this new experiment we are talking over 50 Million of mosquitoes per week, 7 days a week which will equal to billions of GM mosquitoes between Florida and Harris County, Texas. The data of the government of Cayman where this GMO mosquitoes has been released twice, is very different thank what Oxitec has been claiming.A lot of questions need to be answered including the solid evidence of the environmental effect inn ature, public health and safety.  We need to stop the experiment and say NO to releasing GMO mosquitoes! Please help my family and my community, residents of Harris County (Texas) and everyone of us to protect our environment, our health, and to focus on real solutions.     This could mean these mutant mosquitoes could be released at any point against the wishes of locals and the scientific community. We need to make sure the EPA does not approve Oxitec's patent. Nearly all experiments with genetically-modified crops have eventually resulted in unintended consequences: superweeds more resistant to herbicides, mutated and resistant insects also collateral damage to ecosystems. A recent news story reported that the monarch butterfly population is down by half in areas where Roundup Ready GM crops are doused with ultra-high levels of herbicides that wipe out the monarch's favorite milkweed plant. What about our native species of Florida Keys Bats. Are there any studies being conducted to see if these mosquitoes will harm the native bat population? Why would we not expect GM (genetically modified) insects, especially those that bite humans, to have similar unintended negative consequences? Will the more virulent Asian tiger mosquito that also carries dengue fill the void left by reductions in A. aegypti? Will the dengue virus mutate (think antibiotic resistant MRSA) and become even more dangerous? There are more questions than answers and we need more testing to be done. Will the public be able to stop this program from happening if we don't want it? We were told that "public opinion would be taken into account." Dengue fever has been absent from the Florida Keys for years, which indicates the current methods of control and public education are working. What's the rush for this radical approach? Where is the third-party, peer-reviewed research on effectiveness and safety of GM mosquitoes other than Oxitec's own claims of success? There is other alternatives more natural, no risk, faster and cheaper.  Don't let Oxitec bully our community! We say no to genetically modified mosquitoes in the Florida Keys and Texas.  Please Help signing and sharing this petition.

Petition to Donald J. Trump, Donald J. Trump, Donald Trump, Food and Drug Administration

STOP ALLOWING COMPANIES TO PROFIT OFF OF CAUSING PEOPLE CANCER, DEFECTS AND DEATH !!!!!

END THE USES OF GMO PRODUCTS IN AMERICA !!!!! RECALL THE MONSANTO PROTECTION ACT !!!!! STOP POISONS FROM BEING PUT INTO OUR FOODS !!! STOP ALLOWING COMPANIES TO PROFIT OFF OF CAUSING PEOPLE CANCER, DEFECTS AND DEATH !!!!! 10 REASONS TO BAN GMO PRODUCTS OF ALL KINDS : 1. Multiple Toxins From GMOs Detected In Maternal and Fetal Blood 2. DNA From Genetically Modified Crops Can Be Transferred Into Humans Who Eat Them 3. New Study Links GMOs To Gluten Disorders That Affect 18 Million Americans 4. Study Links Genetically Modified Corn to Rat Tumors 5. Glyphosate Induces Human Breast Cancer Cells Growth via Estrogen Receptors 6. Glyphosate Linked To Birth Defects 7. Study Links Glyphosate To Autism, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s 8. Chronically Ill Humans Have Higher Glyphosate Levels Than Healthy Humans 9. Studies Link GMO Animal Feed to Severe Stomach Inflammation and Enlarged Uteri in Pigs 10. GMO risk assessment is based on very little scientific evidence in the sense that the testing methods recommended are not adequate to ensure safety. Genetically modified foods or GM foods, also genetically engineered foods, are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering. Genetic engineering techniques allow for the introduction of new traits as well as greater control over traits than previous methods such as selective breeding and mutation breeding. GMO foods pose a risk to humans, animals, and the environmental.!!!!! “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with genetically modified (GM) food (AAEM 2009),” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system. The AAEM has asked physicians to advise all patients to avoid GM foods. GM plants, such as soybean, corn, cottonseed, and canola, have had foreign genes forced into their DNA. The inserted genes come from species, such as bacteria and viruses, which have never been in the human food supply. The genetic engineering process creates massive collateral damage, causing mutations in hundreds or thousands of locations throughout the plant’s DNA. Natural genes can be deleted or permanently turned on or off, and hundreds may change their behavior. Even the inserted gene can be damaged or rearranged, and may create proteins that can trigger allergies or promote disease. GMOs and liver problems : Rats fed GM potatoes had smaller, partially atrophied livers. The livers of rats fed GM canola were 12-16% heavier.GM soy altered mouse liver cells in ways that suggest a toxic insult. The changes reversed after they switched to non-GM soy. GMOs, reproductive problems, and infant mortality : More than half the babies of mother rats fed GM soy died within three weeks. Male rats and mice fed GM soy had changed testicles, including altered young sperm cells in the mice. The DNA of mouse embryos functioned differently when their parents ate GM soy The longer mice were fed GM corn, the less babies they had, and the smaller their babies were. Babies of female rats fed GM soy were considerably smaller, and more than half died within three weeks (compared to 10% of the non-GM soy controls). Female rats fed GM soy showed changes in their ovaries and uterus. By the third generation, most hamsters fed GM soy were unable to have babies. THIS IS THE FUTURE OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD IF WE CONTINUE TO NEGLECT THE DANGERS OF USING GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMO) PLEASE JOIN THE REST OF THE WORLD ON SAVING THE LIVES OF OUR LOVED ONES.... LIFE IS TO PRECIOUS AND TO SHORT...HELP PUT AN END TO THESE CORPORATIONS WHO HAVE NO REGARD TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD!!!!! WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE!!! YOUR VOICE DOES MATTER!!! STAND UP AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD !!! PROTECT EACH OTHER!!!
