FFA: Do not give the Southern Expansion bid an A-League franchise spot!
This petition exists to discourage the FFA from approving a combined St George, Sutherland Shire and Illawarra A-League franchise. Despite having the backing of Craig Foster and Chinese investors, the bid is seriously misguided for the following reasons: - Geographical and cultural disconnect between Southern Sydney and Wollongong would likely see poor support from the Illawarra region. Many Illawarra locals have consistently made it clear on social media that they will only support a standalone Wollongong team. The Wanderers have exemplified the success that comes with representing a specific region and having a clear identity - it would be a mistaken decision to go the other way. - The farcical nature of ground-sharing across the 3 regions is demonstrated by the fact that 55km separates WIN Stadium from Jubilee Oval, as opposed to 23km separating Moore Park and Parramatta Stadium - the homes of two different clubs. - 25% of Sydney FC's member base live south of Mascot, and 40% of junior members (2015 data). A new team would deeply cut into their support and already diminished catchment area (post-WSW). It is important to note that Jubilee Oval (St George region) is only a short 12km from Moore Park. - Adding a third Sydney team creates 6 more derby fixtures each season, yet the potential success of these manufactured 'derbies' is questionable. The current Sydney Derby has been so successful because it captured a real and pre-existing social and cultural dynamic in Sydney. - Additionally, the Wanderers were established to represent a specific area and have a clear identity - something a combined Southern team would not have. Again, despite the combined St George, Sutherland Shire, Illawarra region boasting a population of nearly 1 million, this raw number does not automatically convert to passionate fans, especially when there is such a physical and cultural separation across that population. Despite having a smaller population on its own, the Illawarra region already boasts a historically successful club in the Wollongong Wolves - a club that has a pre-existing and visible connection to the area and fans. Their standalone bid should be seriously considered and favoured over the combined regional one. To conclude, and with all respect to Craig Foster, the Southern Expansion bid is not the best thing since sliced bread. In fact, it would be detrimental to a pre-existing club in Sydney FC and stifle any chance a standalone Wollongong team has of joining an expanded competition. Expansion is vital to the future progression of the A-League, but it must be done right. Without any clear fan engagement conducted by the FFA, this petition hopes to demonstrate the sentiment of the public and encourage the future path taken by the FFA.

Expand the AFLW in 2018
Support for the 2017 AFLW competition has been overwhelming. From a lock out crowd of over 20,000 at the opening game, the AFLW consistently exceeded expectations. The Commission underestimated both the appeal of women's footy and the pent-up demand from players and fans. The Commission has the power to grant additional licences, and at least two more Victorian clubs are ready with a women's team. The AFLW strengthens footy. It attracts significant numbers of new players, spectators and fans to our great game, and opens important pathways and choices to athletes. It offers a new and distinct experience for footy fans. In 2017 they embraced the opportunity to watch footy at suburban grounds, and mix with players and fellow fans in a more grassroots, relaxed atmosphere. The commission is worried about a depth of talent. But young women are now playing in greater numbers than ever, supported by better development and training opportunities. The next Erin Phillips, Daisy Pearce or Darcy Vescio is waiting, and this season's good ordinary players will come back better and stronger in 2018. As fans, we'll continue (as we do for the men's teams) to forgive sloppy skills and less-than-polished teamwork for the excitement, the competitiveness, and the glimpses of magic. The AFLW needs to expand - the sooner the better.

Make Las Vegas the location of "Super Bowl LV" in 2021
ProblemThe biggest fail in the modern Super Bowl era would be to miss out on the most epic, mind-bogglingly coincidental alignment of marketing genius in NFL history: locating "Super Bowl LV" in the city of Las Vegas to introduce a brand new stadium to showcase the home of the new Las Vegas Raiders in the year 2021. The NFL will never get a golden opportunity like this again - an impeccable alignment of roman numerals, a brand new stadium and a Las Vegas city ready to host the greatest championship game in the observable universe.SolutionLocate Super Bowl "LV" (55) in the city of Las Vegas and bathe in the plethora of promotional gold. The mind-blowing formation of "LV" as the roman numeral for the Super Bowl in 2021 is combined with:-The city of Las Vegas' brand new stadium opening in 2020 for the new Las Vegas Raiders, giving it a year dress rehearsal for the big show-The "LV" brand can be milked like a Tibetan yak-Bask in the glory of your "immaculate conception" for millennia as you shower the fans of the NFL with catch-phrase laudation. Personal storyI was born and raised in Las Vegas, but most importantly, understand the power of common sense.

Cease the support of admitted rapist CR7
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in the midst of a serious and substantiated rape case. In 2009 CR admitted to the rape of his victim, evidence of which is in the court proceedings from the time. However, CR coerced his victim into a non-disclosure agreement for approx $300,000. Recently, thanks to the #metoo movement, his victim came forward to educate about her ordeal. Now a school teacher with nothing to gain but everything to lose, his victim has been doubted, shamed, and ridiculed. However, thanks to her bravery the case has been re-opened and CR is being investigated again. Futsal Oz, a pillar of the futsal and sporting community in Victoria and around Australia, has just signed a deal to endorse CR's underwear line. Posting photos and videos of him in his underwear alongside hashtags such as "impacting lives" and "positive ways". Many members of the futsal community have come forward to express their concern, disgust, and outrage at the message this is sending to all those within the wide reach of the booming organisation. In defense of the organisation, they were unaware of the allegations when the deal was signed, however we believe that their actions do not reflect the severity of the issue, now that they do know. Futsal Oz's culture and decision to continue to endorse this admitted rapist teaches all that the voices of victim's do not matter and that the perpetrators can continue as normal. It teaches those from the pre-school program (ages 3-5) all the way through to the adult social and elite leagues that sexual assault is not something to be taken seriously, in this community or otherwise. When approached, Futsal Oz stated that they would not show the ads during the women's game. However, this just mirrors the idea that sexual assault is a women's issue, even though the victims are majority women, and that men can continue to live as through it does not effect them, even though perpetrators are majority men. This is not enough. We demand the deal be pulled. Failing that we demand all profits from the deal go to a sexual assault charity. We demand Futsal Oz run fundraisers and run initiatives to tangibly help the community they are so quick to brush away. To make tangible contributions to an issue they have not treated with the respect it deserves.

HELP US TO GET LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB TO PERTH PRE-SEASON 2019
Hi Everyone The State Government of Western Australia are in talks with several English Premier League teams to come to Perth in 2019. The Official Liverpool Football Club of Western Australia are keen to do everything we can to provide evidence to the State government that Liverpool FC should be one of those teams. LFC coming will help tourism and hospitality. As you know Liverpool FC has a gigantic fan base world wide and the support from them in Australia, New Zealand and Asia is second to none - this has been evidenced by all the sell out games over the last few years when they have toured Australia or Asia. WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE One of the issues the State government face when making such decisions is - will people travel from interstate and overseas to see their beloved team play? We know the answer is YES but we need numbers to help support our case. If you would be willing to sign our petition to say if Liverpool were to come to Perth in 2019 you would come and support them then PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION and also forward the link onto any other parties who may be able to help. We can then forward the numbers to our State government and tourism and hopefully assist in bringing Liverpool to Perth in 2019. Thanks in advance The Committtee Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Western Australia
