Petition to MDDA , Uttarakhand Environment Minister, Mussoorie Nagarpalika
Stop cutting trees by easy environmental clearances on Mussoorie Dehradun Road
Mussoorie-Dehradun Road a few years back had trees around with some Maggi points on the route. Now at every few metres, there are restaurants and even bars constructed (despite it being a National Highway) by cutting trees. Deforestation on the roadside is causing frequent landslides and increases risks for the travellers. Stop these easy environmental clearances and save the remaining forest cover.
Petition to Office of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra
Urgently stop cutting of trees inside Mumbais aarey milk colony
Respected Sir,I hereby file my strong objections to the proposal of tree cutting inside the Aarey Colony Goregaon East. Mumbai. As per your advertisement in the newspaper, it is proposed to cut down 2702 trees for the Metro car shed and its allied activities. Aarey colony is the world’s only natural urban forest and the green lungs of Mumbai. The pollution and temperature of Mumbai is regulated by the trees of Aarey. I am unwilling to agree to the destruction of this green space. There are several alternatives at barren locations for this car shed or polluting service centre . The site is also a catchment area of the Mithi river. Any change in landscape, loss of trees will impact my health and my right to a clean environment as promised by the Constitution of India. It is my fundamental duty to protect flora and fauna. Cutting these trees needlessly cannot be called sustainable development. Please do not sanction any permissions to cut even a single tree in Aarey. Since tree cutting is already on at adjacent areas despite our objections last time, please look into this seriously. Also please provide us list of places and trees that have been successful transplantated We are aware that the tree cover of Mumbai is declining rapidly and the environment is being damaged.I hereby protest and submit my opposition to the proposal to cut trees in Aarey.Yours faithfully,

At least 2 trees per 1000 square feet agriculture land to fight drought and climate change
While forests have received a lot of attention for their role in storing carbon, thus helping mitigate climate change, they could also help us to adapt to a changing climate and combat drought by influencing rainfall patterns. As the climate changes, severe droughts are likely to become more common, and we shouldn’t miss the opportunities to influence the hydro-logic cycle in a beneficial way using trees. We know that trees in forests are the most efficient evaporate-transpirators out there. If we compare them to say agricultural land cover, trees can evaporate-transpirate twice as much as agricultural crops and about twice as much as water body surfaces. So removing forests will have the biggest impact on cross-continental transport of water vapor and we human did this, Conversely, by planting trees in strategic locations, we may be able to increase rainfall in key areas. That's why my suggestion is to pass a bill to certain plantation of at least 2 trees on the boundary of every 1000 square feet of agriculture land so that we will be able to fight drought and climate change on a very basic and large level. video Link:At Least 2 Trees on Boundary per 1000 Square Feet Agricultural Land

Save 75 Acres of Forest at Super Corridor Indore from Metro Rail Depot Construction
Recently District Administration of Indore, Forest Department had finalized the 75 Acres of Forest Land between Super Corridor and Chota Bangarda Village for the construction of Metro Rail Depot. This is the only remaining Forest Patch of the area which have more than 300 small and big trees, a grassland, 35 + species of birds, some species of wild animals and reptiles. This area also have two water bodies. The construction of Metro Rail Depot on this forest patch results into the destruction of these trees and grassland, displacement of birds, wild animals and finally into the destruction of overall bio-diversity of the area as well as the bio diversity of the city whose forests, wetlands and green belts are in constant pressure since last two decades. Also the amount of public money used in the Plantation, Maintenance, Labor and Salaries will go in vain. Government is allotting the land in lieu of this forest land in another district of Madhya Pradesh at the distance of more than 100 kilometers from this Forest Patch but it will not helpful in the conservation of environment of the Indore City. Government of Madhya Pradesh , District Administration of Indore, Indore Municipal Corporation, Indore Development Authorities, Narmada Project etc are already removed innumerable trees in and around Indore City and also acquired large Forest Land for various Construction Projects. Alternate Plantation is already failed and climate of Indore City is badly effected, average temperature is rising, ground water level is declining, monsoon rains are also decreasing and getting irregular year by year, pollution level is also increasing in the city. So this forest land acquisition must be cancelled for the betterment of city's environment and bio-diversity otherwise Indore will suffer irreparable and permanent loss of environment and biodiversity.
