Petition to U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, United States Department of the Treasury
Save the USPS
The United States Postal Service employs over 500,000 people and is the #1 employer of veterans. Donald Trump has rejected a bill that would save it from running out of money in September. Show those that wish to dismantle and privatize the USPS that we are against letting one of our prize institutions fail.

Force Seminole State College of Florida to give CARES ACT money to SPRING 2020 students
On Friday March 27, 2020 our government approved the Coronavirus Aid relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). Many colleges and universities were eligible to receive money to help students who were affected by school closings due to COVID-19. Seminole State College recieved $8.1 million of that money a total of $4,075,030 will be dispersed to students. The law states that the colleges have to give out the money ONLY to students who faced expenses because of campus closures. On March 13, 2020 SCC decided to close the school and begin online classes until the April 30 2020. All spring 2020 term students were displaced and yanked from campus classes and forced to complete classes online. However Seminole State believes we do not deserve any CARES act money. On May 19, Seminole State declared that the funds would only be given to Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 students. No one enrolled during the Spring term 2020 will be eligible to recieve any money, although we were the ones who were affected the most. How is that fair? Many students have graduated in the Spring term and will not attend summer or fall classes. Meaning they will not receive any aid although the CARES act was specifically made for Spring 2020 students. Seminole States will not respond to emails or calls on this issue. The school is pretty much saying, " tough luck if you want your money you must enroll in the summer term or fall term and if you have graduated oh well" which most of us have either graduated or cannot enroll into online classes due to the nature of our degrees. In all , we have all put in time and money into this institution and we would like Seminole State to grant Spring 2020 students what RIGHTFULLY belongs to us due to what it stated in the CARES Act.

Demand the FDA Reverse its Temporary Policy Regarding Food Labeling Requirements
I'm one of 32 million Americans who suffers from food allergies. Of my 35+ food allergies, only two fall into the Top 8 allergens. In fact, 170 foods are known to cause food allergies. The FDA recently released guidelines allowing food manufacturers to substitute ingredients without changing their product labels as a temporary measure to avoid supply chain disruption due to COVID-19. These guidelines do not cover food safety for millions of Americans who suffer from less common food allergies (the difference of prominence between the Top 8 allergens and other countries' Top 14, for instance, is small). Food allergies are life-threatening. People with food allergies are now faced with a choice: risk consuming a product that may contain an allergen as a substituted ingredient and face death or avoid all pre-packaged foods. Personally, I am allergic to cottonseed oil, a likely substitute for canola, palm, or sunflower oil in most processed foods. People with corn or sunflower allergies have a similar concern, as do peanut or soy allergy-sufferers who react even to highly refined derivatives of those products (not considered allergens by the FDA). This is but one example of a food type currently protected by the substitution guidelines that can have a huge effect; many other foods fall into this category as well, like corn syrup, capsicum, spices, vegetables, and fruits. Let's call on the FDA to revise its policy and require label changes -- even with stickers -- to any products with substituted ingredients. We call on this for the safety of all those with food allergies. We call on this for those who cannot afford fresh ingredients and who do not have time to cook fresh meals regularly. We call on this for the children who will have to learn to be extra vigilant about sharing food and communicating their new restrictions to teachers when schools start up again. The FDA should protect food safety for all Americans and not leave vulnerable populations at risk.

Hazard pay for all USPS EMPLOYEES!!
As we get deeper and deeper into this Coronavirus epidemic postal employees are being forced to work and do overtime upwards of 12 hours a day. As of this present time there have been Upwards of more than 40 confirmed cases of coronavirus with-in the United States Postal Service. From dealing with the day-to-day struggles of rain, sleet snow, hail or no AC in postal vehicles limited heating in postal vehicles no innovations in carriers delivery methods no innovations in protection clothing or any other areas of the post office. Megan Brennan USPS CEO hasn’t sent any supplies such as had sanitizer or mask for employees protection, she made a very vague statement which basically read her employees should follow CDC guidelines. Blood, sweat, and tears postal employees carrier this company on their backs day in and day out at the expense of time with our families, wear and tear on our bodies, mental and emotional abuse from USPS management. We are demanding hazard pay for working during Coronavirus considering we are essential during this epidemic we should at be paid for it. The union is no help to employees during this at all they should be fighting for this hazard pay or threatening for another shutdown. We have to get louder post office!! Hopefully this is an outlet to make change happen.

Covid-19 Economic Response: Cancel Student Loans by Executive Order!
Trillions could be injected into the economy with no tax money needed, and nothing added to the national debt. President Trump needs new ways to stimulate the economy. He has no great options left. The Fed Funds Rate is essentially zero. Tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy- including the $1.6 million stimulus recently given to 43,000 millionaires- won’t help those who need it. Additional direct payments to the citizens will be expensive. Suspending interest and deferring payments on student does very little. Every conceivable spending/stimulus plan will undoubtedly require either more tax money, or will increase the national debt. ...EXCEPT CANCELLING STUDENT LOANS BY EXECUTIVE ORDER. The President could issue an executive order cancelling all of the student loans that the federal government holds- about 85% of all student debt. Nothing would be added to the national debt, and no tax appropriation would be needed. This is- by far- the least expensive, and most expedient way to inject trillions into the economy. Even before the Covid-19 crisis, this was a FAILED lending system: 55 million borrowers and cosigners are struggling under $1.8 Trillion in debt (up from only $175 billion in 2000). Over $100 Billion in interest alone is being sucked out of the economy every year. The default rate for 2004 borrowers is 40%, and borrowing has tripled since that time. According to the recently resigned Chief Operating Officer of the lending program, 80% of all borrowers will never be able to repay their loans. Unlike all other loans in this country, student loans have been stripped of fundamental consumer protections like bankruptcy rights, statutes of limitations, and others. Without these protections, student loans have been weaponized against the very citizens they were supposed to help. The Result: Lives and livelihoods are being wrecked en masse. Young people aren’t getting married, starting families, businesses or buying homes. Older people are being forced to cash in their retirements. Families are being torn apart. People are fleeing the country. Some are even committing suicide. This is not right. This was never right. Analysts have predicted that cancelling student loans will increase GDP by about $100 billion for the next ten years, but they do not take into account the borrowing capacity (and thus spending) that such a move would free up. This would be another $1 Trillion injected into the economy in the near and medium term. Some experts even believe that debt cancellation is the only way to avoid a depression! The President should seize this opportunity, and push the reset button on this FAILED, BIG-GOVERNMENT lending system! Rest assured, the taxpayers will be fine. The federal government has been profiting wildly on this lending system for ten years running. Many years of White House Budget data confirm that the Department of Education is- astonishingly- even making a profit on defaulted loans! While no one can say with accuracy how much of the $1.5 Trillion in outstanding federal loans is interest vs. principal, it is likely that the former is significantly larger than the latter. So on balance, the taxpayer should more-than break even on such a move. Bureaucrats, lobbyists, and other defenders of the lending system in and around the Department of Education will surely protest such a move, but 40 million citizens who are being crushed under the weight of these predatory loans will cheer, and the economy will flourish. When President Lyndon Johnson signed the Higher Education Act in 1965, he declared that student loans would be “free of interest”. President Trump decried the fact that the government was making so much profit on the loans. The President should create a far more efficient higher education financing system that doesn’t wreck the citizens, hyper-inflate the price of college, and enable a national threat such as what the Department of Education has become. This is an historic opportunity for the President to cure a recession, drain the swamp, create a better higher education financing system, and strongly endear himself to tens of millions of voters who would otherwise have, by and large, opposed him this coming November. This is your problem, your petition. Please take these actions to help it grow: 1. Boost it. 2. Get this video to the President 3. Post this link in many places where it will be seen. 4. Retweet this to influencers who might help. WE WILL WIN OUR FREEDOM FROM THIS DEBT WHEN YOU HELP WITH THIS. 90 Day Mortgage & Rent Relief - (Commercial and Residential) - Tenant/Landlord Forgiveness
We, the People, call on our elected leaders to enact a three-month (90 Day) STOP on all payments for office leases, business leases, home rental units, business rental units, home and business mortgages, and auto loans in the form of AUTOMATIC RELIEF (no paperwork). Employers need immediate relief from commercial leases. Landlords and homeowners need immediate assistance from mortgages. Basically, tenants need relief from paying rent, and landlords need relief from paying mortgages. This Petition is providing temporary relief of all payments, through a three-month moratorium, or any other means that can provide immediate assistance to business owners, employers, homeowners, landlords, and tenants that is not a repayment loan. We are asking that all mortgages, on all commercial and residential property, be credited with three-months (3) of monthly payments, with an effective date of April 1, 2020, as a means to immediate relief without causing irreparable harm to both the landlord and the tenant. Any monies already paid will be credited towards the mortgage. We want the AUTOMATIC relief to be paid directly to the loan services companies, without any action required by the landlord and homeowner. The professionals at loan servicing companies and private lenders collect the funds by filing the forms with the government in bulk. Create a relief fund for landlords and lenders to cover the lost rental income and mortgage payments they would have received.
Petition to US Government (Governors, Senators & President Trump), President Donald J. Trump
MAKE GYMS ESSENTIAL
I’m birthing this petition for the greater good of Human health (both physical and mental), Human well-being and all that the aforementioned encompasses. With the most recent and current epidemic and calamity of the COVID-19 virus, all Gyms across the nation were ordered to close, as it was stated that Gym environments were an, “inessential business.” This, by all measures is factually untrue. It was also stated that Gym environments were unsafe, due to the potential spread of this virus. These issued statements are not factual and are based off uneducated misconceptions. Numerous environments / platforms which are wildly more toxic, still remain open and functioning thru this time. Gym environments are much, much cleaner than many frequently visited locations such as: subways, transportation hubs, crowded restaurants, Busses, Supermarkets, construction sites with Hundreds of workers, “Home improvement,” stores, crowded Coffee shops, etc. Gym environments are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized and sanitized much more frequently than many, “other,” and the aforementioned businesses that remain open today, and/or that function on a daily basis. I GUARANTEE the majority of gyms are cleaner than most people’s homes in this country. “Misconceptions,” stem from uneducated individuals; The very individuals spewing these comments have little to no intellect on the subject. Have any of these individuals ever tested gyms? The Air quality, surface cleanliness, materials used and the anti-bacterial nature of them, the chemicals used to clean? I myself have, for Decades. Gyms are NOT the worst place to be, not even close. Again, they’re cleaned, sterilized, disinfected and sanitized to extreme degrees and MUCH more than restaurants, transportation hubs, malls, stores, etc., etc., etc. As well, Gyms already partake in, “distancing.” Everyone working out separates themselves accordingly because you don’t want someone on top of you while you’re training and if anyone feels that worried about it, you can ALWAYS and at any time, wear a mask to self-protect yourself and not just during this calamity. Moreover, Gyms and Fitness facilities provide unequivocal and incontrovertible health (Physical & Mental) benefits to all those who utilize them. They provide relief from many health complications, mental deficiencies, addiction, stress, PTSD, Opioid use, anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia, daily stresses of life, etc. They profoundly aide in the rehabilitation and/or continued health progression of people of all ages, people with disabilities, athletes and persons who are recovering from injury, accident and/or surgery. As well, many individuals and athletes, both amateur and professional, will suffer greatly in career and future performance, should this order remain. The ability and right to exercise within said facilities has and continues to benefit Humankind in more positive ways than one could possibly list. It is a proven fact that when you physically exercise, your physiology changes, which changes your Brain in positive ways and always for the better. Gyms and Health Clubs improve lives, improve health and greatly improves our body’s ability to fight off sickness. It has been proven time and time again and is recommended by every Doctor and health professional on this planet. There are Millioms of citizens suffering right now. Denying ones ability to enter arenas of physical fitness can and will create further sickness and instability. We faithfully submit this petition to reopen Gyms nationwide. ****AMENDMENT**** **This is an amendment to my petition written above, requesting that all Gyms nationwide, be labeled, “essential businesses.” *March 13, 2020 Approximately Two Months ago, I wrote a petition both in appeal of the Government’s decision to label Gyms, “non-essential,” and in request to be heard as a community. Stating facts encompassing: Science, well-being, health, fitness, rehabilitations, etc., I have not yet been responded to, “officially,” and even tho I have followed the appropriate channels. Today, our community and industry stands sickened. Not only in opinion and belief, but physically and mentally as well. This nation has become ill without the proper channels of adequate exercise. Persons who didn’t suffer any prior anxiety or panic attacks, now do. Individuals who utilized fitness as their, “medication,” for PTSD, suicidal thoughts, bipolar disorder, addiction recovery, Autism, neurocognitive disorders, physical rehabilitation, anxiety and panic disorder, etc., have been literally cut off from their healing remedies. Athletes of all ages have had their progress halted and futures severely hindered. And please do not, shrug off,” our great industry and community by saying, “workout at home.” That’s like telling a Union Construction Laborer he can work from home because he owns a Hammer and a Drill; It’s a Night and Day difference. The closure and continued lockout of our nation’s Gyms and Fitness facilities is worsening and weakening Human health, Immune systems, well-being and cognitive function. Moreover, these prolonged closures are disabling the very entrepreneurial backbone of communities nationwide and have caused countless job losses. They have also forced business owners to continue paying rent and Mtg.’s on properties they cannot operate, creating financial calamity. Allowance of this continue will only decimate health, well-being, community and small businesses, further into ruins. We as a community and nation, implore you to re-open Gym and Fitness facilities nationwide. Faithfully submitted, Kevin J. Speicher
Petition to NYS Department of Corrections Executive Clemency Bureau, Andrew M. Cuomo
Approve Commutation Request
Juan Rivas, 11A3744 was only 19 when he was charged in 2010 of Criminal Sale Firearm and Criminal Sale Control Substance in 2010. He came from a very respectful family, attended private school and had an excellent upbringing. However, Mr. Rivas fell into the wrong crowd and fast life of living in NYS. He was received in the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision on 8/23/2011. Mr. Rivas received a Aggregate Minimum sentence of 0 years and a Maximum sentence of 16 years. Mr. Rivas has completed more than 50% of his sentence in NYS prisons. During his time in prison he underwent surgery and has developed respiratory ailments and severe allergies and asthma that cause him to take several medications to sleep and function throughout the day. Mr. Rivas is now 30 years old. He is classified as a mental health inmate receiving services for depression and anxiety. Although Mr. Rivas is not innocent on his actions, Mr. Rivas was a child, acting in accordance to what he was told by his peers. He acted on no recognizance and was forced to take the full sentence, while others received 1 year of probation for their participation in the crime; unjustly to charge the youngest participant in the case because he was vulnerable, threatened to receive 30+ years if he did not accept the plea amongst other things. Mr. Rivas is now married and receives support from his family and friends. His wife and family have developed a resume based on skills he has obtained in prisons to enable him to find employment when he is released in addition, are assisting and encouraging Mr. Rivas to complete his GED. Mr. Rivas has been transferred several times that he has been unable to complete the GED exam, a flaw that the system is not trying to reintegrate these inmates back into society as law abiding systems, but expecting them to return to these prisons as failures when they were not provided with the adequate tools, resources and training to live productive lives outside of the systems walls. His wife is employed as a Business Manager as well as owns her own party planning business and has been a strong support system for Mr. Rivas in the last 4 years. This petition is to assist Mr. Rivas family and supporters move the commutation application along for immediate consideration and release of Mr. Rivas.
