NO to Premier Inn in St David's, Pembrokeshire
No to Premier Inn, St David's Facts Premier Inn is not contributing financially to the construction of the social housing or swimming pool in St David's The land on which Premier Inn propose to build was earmarked just for housing in the Local Development Plan Premier Inn won't support local businesses, it will undermine them The land being sold to Premier Inn is privately owned by someone outside of Pembrokeshire. None of the funds raised will go towards the housing, swimming pool, or back into the community Premier Inn needs the community housing in order to exist here. The housing does not need and should not support Premier Inn Premier Inn are part of a large multinational company. This development could potentially pave the way for more big chains within our beautiful city, destroying independently run businesses and threatening our cultural identity "The City's role as an attractive historic centre is protected and enhanced and the hotel and guest house accommodation is adequate to serve the needs of visitors" - Pembrokeshire National Parks Local Development Plan 2010-2021 Please sign if you support us!

Stop Proposed North Narrabeen Headland Rockpool Commercialisation
NO COMMERCIALISATION OF NARRABEEN HEADLAND Northern Beaches Council is proposing to renovate and upgrade the facilities at the North Narrabeen Rock Pool, which is long overdue. Unfortunately, they are also proposing to expand the building to include a commercial café with extensive outside seating, in what is a unique recreational, environmental, and heritage area. The Northern Beaches is the most outstanding coastline of any capital city anywhere in the world. For 30km from Manly to Palm Beach, we have continuous beach and headland, with every headland a public park. These headlands were declared decades ago and maintained in a natural condition - the councils which declared them had vision and foresight. It would be an act of environmental vandalism by Northern Beaches Council to allow a commercial facility now. There are already 6 cafes in the immediate area of the Lake entrance, without creating another on public reserve land, one which will inevitably need ratepayer subsidy to survive. The existing amenities need renovation as a matter of urgency, and the use and enjoyment of the area should be facilitated, including recreational swimming, access to the lagoon, learning to swim and the swimming clubs. However, this should not include another cafe or kiosk, in the middle of this iconic public area which is surrounded by the following unique assets: • Heritage Listed Rock Pool • North Narrabeen Aquatic Reserve • North Narrabeen Surf Break; a National Surfing Reserve • Council Reserve and Picnic Area. • North Narrabeen Surf Beach • North Narrabeen Headland Reserve and Coastal Walk • Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park and Coastal Environment Centre.
