Hobbs City Government, stop extorting lawful pet parent rescuers exercising Natural Rights

I am a single mother with 4 kids. I pay my taxes. I believe in absolute freedom, and take care never to infringe on any persons rights. My mistake, and apparent crime, was taking in 2 abused and abandoned dogs, and one wandering to the sidewalk outside of my fence. She harmed no one, and nothing. Here is my story. I have spent the past couple days in jail because the Constitution of The People has been suspended. I believe Maritime/Admiralty/Equity law has taken its place.  I get this indication from the gold fringe and tassels that we mistake as meaningless and pretty decorations. I have not deeply studied Maritime/Admiralty law as of this writing.  I know that it is the law of water, and of commerce, and that it secretly affects the people who are charged in the courts in which it stands.  I know that it is not a lawful flag of freedom and justice for all. The People are not allowed to use the Constitution in these courts. These Courts are defined as 'Banks' in the legal dictionaries. I assume this law magically gives Government blanket jurisdiction over everything and everybody. I was unexpectedly saddled with 2 homeless American Pitbull Terrier dogs. I was hoping to re-home them but they are still in my possession. I do not believe in the unnecessary murdering of animals, so I did not give them to the local animal shelter. I have some space and they are extra friendly.  One dog somehow escaped the back yard and walked around my property to the front sidewalk. She was sitting outside my front fence. The next day, the neighbors told me they saw her sitting there and called the pound.  I immediately went to pick her up. The shelter attempted to force me to pay fees which totaled $300. Why? I hadn’t requested services. I stated various violations of Constitutional rights and they told me they’d give her back if I sign a letter promising to spay and vaccinate her.  I signed under duress, got my dog, and left. By what authority does Government believe it can force us to bow to Its will?!  The next day I received a failure to comply and an order to show cause from the city court clerk. Unless I am a slave, why do I have to comply?! This is a free country, right? The date for me to comply on the shelter documents was not for another 5 weeks. To what am I failing to appear or comply? I began researching my rights. I filed a Motion to Dismiss on Jurisdiction. I received a Failure to Appear Summons. I responded with an Answer questioning Jurisdiction. I received the same Failure to Appear.  Again, I responded with a Motion, including an appeal to the Judge to please stick to his Oath.  I received a repeat Failure to Appear including an Order and a Motion Denied and a Bench Warrant. I planned to go into the court the next day. Before I could go into court, my house was surrounded by police. I did not run out the front door because I am disabled physically and it takes me a bit to get from one room to another. I guess I took too long and the police were on my deck, threatening to break the door down. They put everyone in handcuffs, including my 2 minor children and a friend who was visiting. They took us to jail but it was only me they booked. The next day I saw the judge, but it was on a monitor from the jail. No witnesses. He immediately recused himself from the case. I learned from another inmate who had just come back from the courtroom that she overheard my judge tell the new judge that he was tired of arguing with me. They should whisper better.  When my new judge came on screen, he asked me if I understood the charges against me. I responded ‘NO, I do NOT understand the charges against me, sir.’  He told me that I first needed to plea and then he would explain them to me.  When I insisted that I could not enter pleas without understanding the charges, he began entering pleas for me. I respectfully interrupted with ‘Is your Honor practicing law from the bench?’ Judge Arthur completed the entire arraignment on his own, completely ignoring my successively louder objections. He told me I would meet my Public Defender in the morning. I had not asked for a Public Defender. I attempted to tell him I refuse a Public Defender and I could defend myself if he would just uphold the Constitution but the Judge ended the monologue by turning off the monitor. The charges are: Dog License (Unconstitutional) Vaccinations (Unconstitutional) Animal/Dog at Large (Unconstitutional) Resisting Arrest (I took too long to answer the door because I couldn't get me cane from its perch to be able to walk. I have brain tumors and am disabled) Besides, No one is required to open the door to anyone. Especially, and including Police. Expectation of obedience to The State is slavery. And slavery is supposed to be illegal. The Supreme Court has numerous rulings on this. Obedience indicates that you are a slave, or a child. We have a duty to be good to each other. But no competent adult is required to obey anyone. I filed objections the moment I got home from jail. There was no bond, so I had to sit there until he willed me to be free. 2 days. Debtors jails are illegal. At the forced arraignment, the judge gave me a plea deal even though I had not pled, but he had for me, which is illegal and unlawful, unless I am incompetent; and the plea can only be 'Not Guilty' so the Burden of Proof goes on the STATE. The deal is 90 days in jail and $1500 fine! This is America under Gold Fringed Admiralty/Maritime Law. Under Public Policy made by Corporations, not the will of The People. The United States Corporation is NOT a free country. Had the Constitution of We The People been applied, I would not now be a criminal with a record. Please help me establish more Pet Parent friendly laws, tighter holds on Corporations and Government overreach of our rights, and a restriction on Government fundraising via criminalization of our inherent right to life, liberty and property.

Petition to Mayor– Mike Thomas, District 1– Councilwoman Christine Power, District 2– Councilwoman Kimberly Yaney, District 3– Councilwoman Megan O'Keefe, District 4– Councilman Gary Conroy, Volusia County Environmental Management Director Ginger Adair

Save Riverside Drive and Boston Road public right of way. Protect the Mosquito Lagoon!

There is a protest regarding the over development of an 0.83 acre parcel of land located at 2001 S. Riverside Drive in Edgewater, Florida. Environmental groups, businesses, and residents claim that the city is ignoring the Land Development Code, Coastal Element, and Indian River Lagoon Management Council to allow an oversized restaurant/marina, bait shop and retail store to be built in an inadequately sized parcel of land. Because this parcel is too small, the city is preparing to allow the developers to utilize a public right of way for their dumpster and three huge retention ponds to meet their waste water management needs. The right of way will be transformed into a parking lot and delivery lane for the developers as well. Additionally the city is waiving the 50 foot required setback from the river, allowing the restaurant to be built within 15 feet of the Indian River. Environmentalists are concerned about the negative impacts on the already imperiled Indian River Lagoon, which is one of the most biologically diverse estuaries in North America. Local residents are concerned about this oversized marina, restaurant, and bait shop, due to excess traffic, noise and light pollution, parking issues, and the disruption that a huge complex would create. This is a quiet completely residential community. The building of structures on the Boston Road right of way will create hardship for the residents who live on the Boston Road right of way, seriously limiting their access in and out of their property and threatening emergency access when needed. We are petitioning against the overreaching development being proposed, which includes a perpetual lease of a public right of way, to the owners of 2001 S. Riverside Drive. Please Sign the Petition Below: I oppose the over development and rezoning of 2001 South Riverside Drive in Edgewater, Florida. The ASKI redevelopment project should only take place on the property purchased, and should NOT include the Boston Road Right of Way!

Amended COB Charter - Intro Term Limits for City Officials & Addition of Ombudsman

Term Limits for Elected and Appointed Officials of the City Beacon, NY The Appointment of an Independent Ombudsman for the City of Beacon, NY In 2007 the City of Beacon NY introduced a Comprehensive Plan for the revitalization of Main Street with ongoing revisions to date, both with and without public comment and input. All part of the Comprehensive Plan is to re-shuffle City residents and businesses , increase population,  increase building density in the City and especially doing so by adding large real estate developments of four stories and taller. These are decisions and factors that ultimately impact the quality of life of all the residents of the City by taxing City infrastructure and services. Vision, resourcefulness, leadership, commitment and integrity of service are required for City governance to ensure a viable Beacon for all its residents, for today and tomorrow. It’s essential that current and future administration(s) work for and are held accountable to all the residents of the City of Beacon. Currently members of City government/council serve without term limits, a condition that can foster an atmosphere of governing “by rubber stamp”. Introducing term limits in government is a feature that will create openings for fresh thinking and new leadership. This can be accomplished by calling and voting on a referendum on term limits for elected officials. This petition is to call for a change to the City Charter to allow for term limits, and the right to review and vote. A.     Term limit of two (2) terms for the office of mayor B.     Term limit of two (2) terms for the council members C.      Term limit of two (2) terms for members of board & committees. The parameters for exceptions to overturning the two (2) terms limit shall be determined by City residents. Too many decisions have been made that affect the quality of life for the constituents of Beacon during closed door meetings. The appointment of an Ombudsman will be charged with the well-being of the City, with oversight of government activity in the interests of the citizen, and to oversee the investigation of complaints of improper government activity against citizens, a citizen advocate who would provide the measure of transparency and representation City residents have been denied. A.     Appointment of an Ombudsman to oversee the running of the City of Beacon administration. The independent representation on City agencies/boards, and voting privileges of the Ombudsman shall be determined by City residents. These changes to the City Charter, will give the citizens of Beacon independent oversight of the mayor, city council and committees. Term limits are an important and effective tool in limiting undue influence of elected or appointed governing bodies

Petition to Mayor Bill de Blasio, Bill de Blasio

Hunters Point Library: Action & Accountability

Honorable Mayor de Blasio: The Long Island City community learned on Thursday, July 26th that, once again, the Hunters Point (Queens West) Library faces another massive delay beyond the initial opening date of 2014. The New York Department of Design and Construction (DDC) and Queens Library had most recently told the community that construction would be completed in August 2018 and the Library would open in February 2019. On Thursday, that promised date of completion was pushed to August 2019. This delay is unacceptable in a project that has been planned since development began in Hunters Point over 20 years ago and has been in-process since at least 2010. While other neighborhoods in New York City, and Queens in particular, enjoy 6 day per week public library service, Hunters Point residents have yet to enjoy this taxpayer supported service. While other neighborhoods have early literacy programs, job training workshops, technology classes for older adults, citizenship classes, and myriad other public library offerings, Hunters Point residents walk 20 minutes to reach Court Square Library, a small hybrid community library that was not intended to support the current level of development in the area. As ferries pull into Hunters Point carrying tourists and commuters, one of the noteworthy sights on the shores of the East River is a partially completed building that was supposed to define the Queens skyline, and is now an eyesore. The unfinished structure serves as a daily reminder of the failures and mismanagement of this project. As high-rise luxury buildings are constructed at a breath-taking pace across Long Island City - the single fastest growing community in the United States - the Hunters Point Library is a mud-filled, idle construction site, offering nothing but obstructed views and dilapidated fencing after almost a decade of planning and construction. The Hunters Point Library project is an embarrassment and a prime example of New York City government waste and inefficiency. The original budget for the library was $23 million. With the current price tag of $41 million, the financial malfeasance for a four-story public library beggars belief. The project has failed so absolutely that the Center for an Urban Future used the project as the centerpiece of its April, 2017 report, Slow Build. The people and agencies responsible for building Hunters Point Library have failed. Those involved in past decisions, including the decision to hire Triton Structural, failed. Those responsible for getting the Hunters Point Library to completion in February 2019, one of many promised deadlines come and gone, have failed. On behalf of the community, LIC United is writing to demand: -the formation of a committee to review, investigate, make recommendations for redress to the community, and sanction those involved in past and present gross mismanagement, including Triton Structural, the Department of Design & Construction, and Queens Library-a commitment from City Hall to implement an accelerated construction timelinegreater transparency in the construction, build-out, and opening process from the DDC and Queens Library-timely and accurate communication regarding the project timeline from the DDC and Queens Library to the entire community via social media, email, and monthly meetings-increased and robust daily oversight of the construction site by the DDC that includes a log available to the public-restoration of original design elements, including a reading garden and green technologies The Hunters Point community should not be punished for the mismanagement of the project and the tax dollars already wasted. Deputy Mayors and DDC Commissioners have come and gone and they have all made false promises regarding the completion of a state-of-the-art, architecturally stunning public library. We are asking for your leadership in completing the Hunters Point Library and delivering the community jewel we were promised over a decade ago. Regards, LIC United -Hunters Point Civic Association -LIC Coalition -Gantry Parent Association -Court Square Civic Association -Friends of Queens Library at Court Square
