Petition to Stan Kroenke, Arsenal Football Club

Demand that Arsenal FC owner closes UK blood sports hunting channel #noclosurenomoney

Stan Kroenke, the owner of Arsenal Football Club, launched a blood sports TV channel, My Outdoor TV, here in the U.K. over the weekend. To say that to most sane, normal people what it shows is a disgusting display of senseless cruelty, is a complete understatement. I am a lifelong Arsenal fan and a Club Silver Member. Forget all the debates that Arsenal fans have had about Kronke and how he has run the club we love, surely we do not want it associated with this evil in anyway. As getting rid of Kronke is difficult, no matter how much we'd like to, we must force him to close this channel immediately. We all know he only cares about the money as he uses Arsenal as a cash cow so let's hit him where it hurts, in his pocket. I know it's a big thing to ask as we love our club but until Kronke closes this aboration please do all you can not to spend a penny on any merchandise, food etc at the Emirates or on the club website or anywhere else. I would also ask that you don't go to any home matches but I know that season tickets and Club Level memberships have already been paid for. However, whilst there please don't spend a penny. If you're a Red, Silver or Young Gunners member make the choice not to go until Kroenke listens to us Gooners for once. No matter what please email (feedback@arsenal.co.uk) tweet (@Arsenal) the Club, post on their Facebook and their social media sites that you demand the channel be closed. If you're a company with a box, corporate packages etc please email the club to express your disgust and that you're not happy to be associated with such cruelty. I love Arsenal which is why it breaks my heart to think we're associated with such a disgraceful form of cruelty. Thank you. #nocruelty #noclosurenomoney #arsenalnocruelty

Order of Malta - Stop attending cruel hare coursing festival

The Irish Council Against Blood Sports has renewed an appeal to voluntary first-aid organisation, Order of Malta, to show compassion for Irish wildlife and stop attending a hare coursing cruelty festival. The Order of Malta has a presence at the coursing finals in Clonmel to provide first aid to those getting their kicks from watching hares running for their lives. A posting on the Order of Malta's Facebook page shows the group's First Aid Station at the Powerstown Park venue alongside the message "Good week of duty over in Clonmel, with coursing and races". The Order of Malta says it has nearly 4,000 members "volunteering their time to provide first-aid medical services at community and large national events". In an email to the Order of Malta's Dublin headquarters, ICABS praised the organisation's valuable work across the country but pointed out that volunteering at an animal cruelty event at which defenceless animals are forced to run for their lives is surely contrary to the Order of Malta's ethos of compassion and alleviating suffering. "The coursing meeting in Clonmel is the culmination of a season of animal cruelty," we stated in our letter. We brought to their attention photographs taken at Clonmel which show hares desperately running for their lives in front of greyhounds. "Every coursing season, hares are hit and mauled, resulting in painful injuries and deaths," we added. "Injuries include bruises, broken bones and dislocated hips. This is not the type of activity the Order of Malta should be associating with." ACTION ALERT Please join us in urging the Order of Malta to stop providing volunteers to the national hare coursing meeting in Clonmel. Save Irish hares from cruel coursing

Thousands of Irish hares are forcefully snatched from the countryside every year and forced to run for their lives in front of pairs of greyhounds. Those involved in this cruelty are allowed to continue without fear of prosecution, due to an exemption for coursing in Ireland's Animal Health and Welfare Act. Injuries suffered by hares in coursing include broken bones and dislocated hips. The Minister for Agriculture (who has responsibility for animal welfare legislation) and the Irish Government must act now to outlaw hare coursing and save hares from the cruelty inherent in this outdated bloodsport.  Witness the cruelty of Ireland's hare coursinghttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRkXOvbUPNNiGTsXVvyZdECvNZfKcdNzB Contact Arts & Heritage Minister, Heather Humphreys, and urge her stop licensing hare coursing Heather Humphreys, TD Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Affairs Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht 23 Kildare Street, Dublin 2 Email: Heather.Humphreys@oireachtas.ie, ministers.office@ahg.gov.ie, taoiseach@taoiseach.gov.ie, wildlifelicence@ahg.gov.ie, Gerry.Leckey@ahg.gov.ie Tel: +353 (0)1 631 3802 or +353 (0)1 631 3800 Leave a comment on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/heather.humphreysfg Tweet to: @HHumphreysFG Urgently contact An Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar and An Tanaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) Frances Fitzgerald.
