Petition to Animal lovers of the uk, East Sussex Police, RSPCA, UK Citizens, Gull lovers, Seagull lovers

Prosecute the decorator who battered, bludgeoned and stamped a seagull to death.

We call on the Police and/or RSPCA to issue a prosecution under Section 1, of the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981, whereby it is illegal to intentionally injure or kill a gull. The decorator used a block of wood to batter the seagull, then put its unconscious body in a rubbish bin liner bag. Shortly after, to the consternation of onlookers, the decorator jumped up and down on the bag when the gull showed signed of life. The decorator admitted to police that he had killed the gull. All this happened in a busy main street in broad daylight, in front of horrified shoppers and animal lovers. In Hastings town centre outside Waterfalls Café and gift shop, Robertson Street. The majority of people in Hastings love their seagulls and certainly don't want people thinking they can just break the law and kill our wildlife.

Petition to Moreton Bay Regional Council

Mosquito Management Review - Jodie Shipway - Division 4 Moreton Bay Council candidate

There is a growing concern amongst the community in regards to our Mosquito Management within the Moreton Bay Region.  I am running as your Division 4 candidate in the Local Government Election on the 28th March and I would like to push for a review of our current plan.  Several concerned residents have raised issues with me.  My research tells me that the Brisbane City Council boasts one of Australia's leading Mosquito Managment Plans.  Whilst I understand that this is a complex issue with several factors coming into play such as the climate, environmental factors and development to name a few, I still feel we can learn from our neighbouring Council and investigate our options to improve livability and reduce mosquito born disease.  My promise to you is that, with enough signatures, this will be presented to Council for consideration.  I will also keep you up to date with the progress during my campaign and after the election period.

    Petition to Mathew Reid

Compete in Little Miss Dragon 2015

Mathew Reid is the Co-Captain of our Football Club and needs to set the right example. He couldn't/didn't participate in 2014 and he is refusing to front up and take responsibility when he said he would after not doing it last year.   Disclaimer: There are far bigger and more important issues in the world but it would be great to see Mathew get in the game.

Save the old Redcliffe Pier Theatre!

Time is running out for a developer to transform the old Redcliffe Pier Theatre site into a unit complex Developers are planning on knocking down the famous 100 year old Pier Theatre located on the waterfront 115-131 Redcliffe Pde and Sutton St, Redcliffe.  In 2016 the Moreton Bay Regional Council granted an extension to the original application from 2011 in which the former Redcliffe City Council gave Peninsula Theatres permission to transform the site into a residential complex with 82 units, food and retail outlets. This current approval is set to expire in September 2020.The Pier Theatre was built in 1928 and the Redcliffe Historical Society were against the application, in its existing form and have asked council to consider saving the facade as it “represents 93 years of film-going by the sea”. In a letter submitted to council the applicant has stated “extenuating circumstances” including the COVID-19 pandemic meant developers would not be able to start the project in the allotted time frame. Covid 19 didn't exist in 2011 or 2016 and is not extenuating circumstance. I am calling on the Moreton Bay Regional Council to do the right thing by the Moreton Bay community by not extending this approval any further.
