    Reduce Petrol/Diesel Prices

Global oil prices are dropping fast. Petrol and Diesel prices in India are rising. Where is the money going? Sign my petition to demand an answer from the Petroleum Minister. News reports show that there is no excuse for high fuel prices. The Government increased petrol and diesel taxes three times in the last three months to prevent retail price drops. Who benefits from global price drops? - The Government gets a lot more tax- The Petroleum companies make more profits- Middle men and petrol pump dealers make larger commissions   Who does not benefit? The common, Indian citizen. We continue paying through our noses. Sign my petition to stop this injustice! Increases in fuel prices impact the country’s economy and inflation. Everything that relies on transport is more expensive. Why is the Government exploiting the common man like this? We are taxpaying citizens and we deserve an answer. If enough of us speak up, we can get the Government to respond to us and drop petrol and diesel prices. Sign and share my petition with everyone you know.

    REDUCE N1 ACCIDENTS

Due to High accidents between Kranskop and Polokwane, it came to our attention that the main reason for accidents is the 3, three line barrier between the Lanes. Too many Head to head collisions reported every month, one mistake costs a lot of lives. If Can we have some Solid barrier to separate the lanes, we cant keep blamming high speed, N1 road is a murderer. Follow https://www.facebook.com/Traffic-Police-Services-within-Limpopo-232550890126723/ and witness what im talking about  Recently +/- 50 people died at N1 between Polokwane and Kranskop, in fact each and every month more fatalities are reported. People are dying, innocent lives are taken.    Department must take us serious.

Reduce the excise duty on petroleum products

Petrol and diesel prices set new records Sunday as they continued their upward march on fall in rupee and surge in global crude oil rates. Petrol price was Sunday raised by 12 paise a litre and diesel by 10 paise per litre, according to the price notification issued by state fuel retailers. The increase pushed the petrol price in Delhi to Rs 80.50 per litre. Diesel rate touched its highest level of Rs 72.61 a litre. Fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes. Since mid-August, petrol price has risen by Rs 3.42 a litre and diesel by Rs 3.84 per litre as rupee hit record low against the US dollar, making imports costlier. Almost half of the retail selling price of the two fuels is made up of central and state taxes. According to oil companies, petrol at refinery gate costs around Rs 40.50 a litre and diesel Rs ?43. The Centre currently levies a total excise duty of Rs 19.48 per litre of petrol and Rs 15.33 per litre on diesel. On top of this, states levy Value Added Tax (VAT) -- the lowest being in Andaman and Nicobar Islands where 6 per cent sales tax is charged on both the fuels. Mumbai has the highest VAT of 39.12 per cent on petrol, while  Telangana levies the highest VAT of 26 per cent on diesel. Delhi charges a VAT of 27 per cent on petrol and 17.24 per cent on diesel. The Central government had raised excise duty on petrol by Rs 11.77 a litre and that on diesel by 13.47 a litre in nine installments between November 2014 and January 2016 to shore up finances as global oil prices fell, but then cut the tax just once in October last year by Rs 2 a litre. This led to its excise collections from petro goods more than doubling in the last four years -- from Rs 99,184 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 2,29,019 crore in 2017-18. States saw their VAT revenue from petro goods rise from Rs 1,37,157 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 1,84,091 crore in 2017-18

Petition to Jerry Brown, California State Senate, California State House

Reduce Sentences for Prisoners Fighting California Fires.

As fires ripped through Northern California burning down over 8,000 homes and other buildings, and killing over 40 people, 1,700 of those fighting fires on the front lines have been California state prisoners. In fact, 30% of California’s forest firefighters, nearly 4,000, are prisoners. While it’s a long standing practice for prisoners to work while incarcerated as a form of rehabilitation, we would be better served by rewarding prisoners who have demonstrated exceptional conduct in prison with a sentence reduction. I was a first time nonviolent drug offender who served 9 years of a 24 year sentence before President Clinton granted me clemency. I can think of no group that deserves a second chance more than those who, serving time for minor crimes, choose to risk their lives to save others by fighting fires.  In February 2016, 22-year-old Shawna Lynn Jones, was killed when she was struck in the head by a falling rock while fighting fires in Malibu. She was serving time for violating probation for a drug offense and was scheduled to be released just two months later. Over the last year, at least two other prisoners have died while performing firefighting duty. One man was crushed by a tree, another accidentally cut a femoral artery with a chainsaw.   Prisoners earn approximately $2 a day, or up to $1 an hour if fighting an active fire, through a program with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. There are 43 conservation camps in California where adult offenders work. These prisoners are screened and anyone with violent tendencies or attitude problems is not allowed into the program. Around 30 to 40 percent work 24-hour shifts, then get 24 hours of rest. At most, prisoners can earn up to two days off for each day they’re in the conservation camps. This program is estimated to save the state $124 million a year, amounting to 3 million hours of labor to fight or prevent fires. We can do better for people who clearly pose no threat to society. Please sign my petition asking California Governor Jerry Brown to exercise his clemency privilege toward prisoners who have risked life and limb to save the homes and lives of countless California citizens, animals, and hundreds of thousand of acres of forestry.   Thank you, Amy PovahCAN-DO Foundation

Reduce Notice Period to 4 weeks

90 days notice period is unbearable and misused by the MNC giants to retain the employee. Even though a employee gets a better opportunity, he/she are bound to lose this opportunity as the other company do not wait for 90 days. One month is enough to transfer knowledge to the replacement if required. We request every one to sign this petition so that Indian government takes action on this mnc giants.

Reduce Cancellation Charge for Airline Tickets to Rs 500

I recently booked a ticket from Mumbai to Delhi From Vistara.Fare for the trip was around Rs 3700,due to certain situation I had to cancel the ticket,But was shocked to find that for a Rs 3700 ticket Cancellation Charge itself was Rs 4400.I tried to talk to Airline about this, and they had Single Blunt reply "You accepted our terms & Condition at time of Booking". Even from a layman's logic cancelling a refundable ticket should not be more than the price of booking itself. And its beyond anyone's imagination, why is cancellation fee so high for airlines amounting to several thousands.for eg. Vistara charges Rs3000+ taxes, spicejet charges rs 2250 + taxes,Indigo charges Rs2250 + taxes. So overall in name of terms & Condition they charge you even more than the cost of ticket for cancellation sometimes.THis is exoberent and open burgalary on part of airlines, inspite when they sell the cancelled ticket at even higher price. I would request Ministry of Civil Aviation and Prime Minister Office to have some logical pricing for atleast cancellation or rescheduling charges for flight tickets. In current scenario it feels we are been looted openly in names of terms & conditions by airlines as a whole. They leave us no choice. Cancellation Charges for Airline tickets should be no more than Rs 500.Looting money from passengers by all airlines is just not justified.
