Be the voice for animals
This is what your contribution will support:
Expert campaign advice
Most people who start petitions are new to the world of advocacy and activism. Our staff provide advice for speaking-up for those without a voice, mobilizing support and generating media interest. These services empower people who start petitions and make it possible for more petitions to win.
For animals like Beau the dog, a successful petition can mean the difference between life and death. After starting a petition on Change.org, Beau’s owner worked with our staff to generate support from more than half a million people around the country, and ultimately, the campaign saved Beau from being euthanized.
Influence over decision makers
Whether calling for new legal policies that affect wildlife or asking business leaders to change the way they treat animals, petitions can be very influential. We make sure that petitions are targeting the right decision makers, and we help facilitate responses and resolutions. Members like you help fund this type of critical work.
In response to a number of consumer-driven petitions on Change.org, supermarkets like Trader Joe’s, Publix, and Albertson’s all changed their policies to curb chicken abuse in their egg supply chain. By putting public pressure on business leaders, we were able to influence their adoption of more sustainable and humane business practices.
Better activism technology
The technology we build at Change.org is designed to empower anyone to create the kind of change they want to see. Our tools help everyday people become animal protection activists. We have big ideas for our future, but we need your financial support to fuel new technological development.
Over 6 million people have signed petitions addressing the inhumane practices of the Yulin Dog Meat festival in China. What’s more, in 2016 roughly $138,000 was raised for emergency medical care services for dogs who survived the event using the Change.org crowdfunding tools.
We can't do this type of work without your generous support.
