Floppy and his creator, Duane Ellett, have been a crucial part of family-friendly programming in Iowa from the late 1950s on through the late 1980s. Guest stars, such as Bill Cosby and Art Linkletter, only demonstrates how popular the show was around the state of Iowa.

I grew up with the Floppy show from 1963. I never got to go as we didn't have the $$ but as a child always dreamed of going to the FLOPPY SHOW! I cried the day Duane Elliot died in my work office as a part of my childhood had died. I didn't know it was at the museum, I want to see him!

Floppy was a part of my childhood going up as well as my siblings, we never missed floppy. I remember when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, I was sitting in front of the tv to watch Floppy and his program wasn't going to be on because of the Moon coverage - I was SO MAD! lol!! I was at work in my office when I heard the news that Duane Elliot had died while jogging and just sat there and cried, for a part of my childhood had died...Floppy...

I knew Duane and Floppy for years. My Father was the frontman on the Floppy's Club House Noon show on WHO. I'd like people to keep remembering.
