Our dogs are part of our families and are like our children. The fact that Mr. Watts will shoot and kill instead of making every attempt to safely catch and return of beloved animals is not acceptable.

As a past Husky owner my "escape artist" Shadow found her way out of my yard so many times I cant count. She would just walk along waiting to find someone to play with. Huskies are not aggressive dogs, if you abuse them, don't feed them, etc. then yes ANY dog wil be aggressive. No dog should ever leave this earth the way Nikki did.. My Shadow had 12 years of a really spoiled life, and she went out on our terms, not the terms of someone who should not be carrying gun, Someone who shoots first and asks questions latter.

Shot first really the dog could of been easily detained but cop shot it first. Wow just stupid is that what they do with people in a fight when all the commotion just start shooting? Probably trigger happy & feel like they are above the Law.

It's unconscionable that a police officer would use lethal force as anything but a last resort, especially when dealing with a dog. We need to make an example of this officer and make sure they know that if they kill a dog, there are consequences for their actions.

This was very poor judgment and a trigger happy cop is a bad cop. PERIOD! My heart goes out to the owners, and I just can't imagine how terrible they feel!
