I remember going to the movie theater when I was about 10/11 years old and I was going for one of my friends birthday. We have drove about 2 hours out of our way to see this movie for one reason: It had closed caption. The first movie I ever saw in closed caption in the theater was The Cat in the Hat. I remember running around with my friends in the theater because we were so excited to see a movie with closed caption. The smiles and laughter that was on our face was beyond anything we could have imagine. It open a whole new world for us. It allowed us to be a part of the world and not have to wait for such a long period of time to see a movie. Or to sit through a movie and nor really gasp the full understanding of the movie. The different we are making here is that we are allowing access to people and not just deaf people to be more involved in our community.
One of the main reason I love Valdosta is that it is truly a city without limits!
