Some background on the implementation plan
Hey UMD Students,
Here is a little background on what the implementation plan as it stands now (without our input) would do.
1) All grades beginning next fall would be calculated under the new system. This was changed between when the plan was considered in 2005 and now. OLD GRADES WILL NOT BE RECALCULATED.
2) A+ 4.0, A 4.0, A- 3.7
B+ 3.3, B 3.0, B- 2.7
C+ 2.3, C 2.0, C- 1.7
D+ 1.3, D 1.0, D- 0.7
According to the study, had this been implemented years ago, the average campus grade would had fallen by 0.03 grade points and the average campus GPA of those with a 3.7 or higher would had fallen by much more.
