Vote NO on HR6388

    1. Ginger Evans
    2. Petition by

      Ginger Evans

      Crossville, United States

5 key reasons we oppose HR 6388 are as follows:

1) Auburn Vet study found that an action device and padded shoe does NOT hurt the horse.

2) HR6388 is government regulation which is NOT necessary, as the TN Walking Horse industry is currently self regulated.

3) HR 6388 will cost thousands of jobs

4)HR6388 Violates the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act

5) HR6388 is a HSUS driven bill, with an agenda to destroy the TWH, Racking Horse, and Spotted Saddle Horse Breeds

The TWH industry should not be destroyed because of a few bad trainers. I am and will always be a proud supporter of the PERFORMANCE Tennessee Walking Horse!

I am the proud owner of a sound Tennessee Walking Horse. This is a proud and noble breed with a rich heritage in the United States. HR6388 is aimed at the Tennessee Walking Horse, Racking Horses , Spotted Saddled Horses and other gaited breeds, this bill is back by an industry whose front person has stated that Domestic Animals are the product of selected breeding by people and he (Wayne Pacelli, head of HSUS) has no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. In addition Senator Whitfield who is supporting this bill has a spouse who is employed by HSUS. It is known that less than 1% of monies donated to HSUS actually support shelters.

I do not show horses, but I've owned several ex-padded performance horses. All were sound, and I never had any issues w/ feet or leg lameness. All were also well-mannered horses, extremely healthy. Wonderful breed.
