Support The Jewish Holiday of Yom Kippur as a UN and US National Holiday
The Issue
Yom Kippur is the most important holiday of the Jewish year. As such, it should have the respect and recognition of and by the United Nations and the American people as a holiday observed and celebrated as Christmas and or Easter.
That Jewish workers and students are not punished by allocating time to observe Yom Kippur.
That Yom Kippur is proclaimed by the UN and US federal government as a holiday for federal government employees and serve to inspire each state to observe this holiday on the same date (commonly called a legal or public holiday).
