Justice for Chief Mark Kessler, Gilberton PA

On July 31st, 2013, our country witnessed another injustice and erosion of our country’s Constitution. Councilman Eric Boxer (D) Council President Daniel Malloy (D), Mayor Mary Lou Hannon (R) of Gilberton, Pennsylvania, voted to suspend Chief Mark Kessler for thirty days without pay, over YouTube videos that Chief Kessler posted. Despite the fact that Chief Kessler had broken no laws while exercising his Second Amendment, as well as having tremendous support nationally for his viewpoints of our country’s current position, the Chief was still disciplined.

Chief Kessler was also informed that he cannot use the word “chief,” without the city council approval.

American’s nationwide are calling for the immediate resignation of Councilman Eric Boxer (D), President Daniel Malloy (D), and Mayor Mary Lou Hannon (R) of Gilberton, PA for violating the Oath in which they took when assuming their positions. Below is an example of the oath in which these officials would have taken:

I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Pennsylvania, (and the Charter of the Boroughs of Gilberton), and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of (mayor of Gilberton Boroughs) to the best of my ability.

The First Amendment is that of free speech. By demanding Chief Kessler to ask permission to use the word Chief, is a direct violation of his Constitutional rights.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, ...”

In addition to violating the United States Constitution, the members above are also guilty of violating the Constitution of Pennsylvania:

No discrimination by Commonwealth and its political
subdivisions.

“Neither the Commonwealth nor any political subdivision
thereof shall deny to any person the enjoyment of any civil
right, nor discriminate against any person in the exercise of any civil right.”

To:
Pennsylvania Attorney General, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General
United States District Court, District Court of Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania Governor
U.S. House of Representatives
Pennsylvania State Senate
U.S. Senate
Sen. Pat Toomey, Pennsylvania
Justice for Chief Mark Kessler

Sincerely,
