Denounce and dismantle the Anti-Homosexuality Bill - November 2012

    1. Petition by

      Michael Peters

      Fairborn, OH

This bill has repeatedly been debated in the Ugandan parliament. It would provide a legal death penalty or a life sentence for homosexuals as well as prison terms for "homosexual promoters". This bill fundamentally destroys the notion of human rights within Uganda as it dismantles the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and seeks to destroy the lives of Ugandans. Sign this petition to tell the Ugandan parliament that homosexuals are not "un-African", but that they are indeed full members of society. This bill has been previously dismissed because of international outcry, it is time to pick the fight back up. Please sign.

Ugandans shouldn't be put to death or endure life in prison for loving someone of the same sex. Support and love should be what the bill describes but instead it seeps fear, hatred, ignorance, and must be stopped.

This bill is an abomination to the entire Ugandan community. To lawfully discriminate against a group with such destructive abandon is a very dangerous path to take indeed. Please- stop this ludicrous bill from enacting its terrible penalties on those who are HUMAN LIKE YOU.

Because I think that all human beings should have the liberty to love, and that the Bahati Bill is an absurd distortion of Evangelical principles. The implications of this bill are appalling. I will do all that I can to stop the proliferation of gay dicrimination and violence

It's just right to give people the chance to live their lives accordingly to what makes them happy. If that is share their love with another man, you must not forbid it.
