The Scottish Parliament: Let Occupy Edinburgh set up a camp in a central public area.

      Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Setting up an occupy camp in a public area is vital for the protest for various reasons. The main one being that an Occupy protest camp draws attention on many issues that need to be considered by the public and law making authorities. Setting up a peaceful demonstration in the city square has been the backbone of the occupy movement, and since that avenue of protest has come to an end at St. Andrew's square, Occupy Edinburgh now wishes to have another demonstration without the threat of eviction! Let Occupy Edinburgh have a space which will serve as a protest! Let Occupy Edinburgh have a public space to occupy so that they can continue to raise awareness for issues, and to end corruption. Please show the public that Edinburgh still has heart! The Scottish Parliament are now urged to work with Occupy Edinburgh, and allow Occupy Edinburgh a public space to continue their peaceful protest.

It supposed to be a free country with freedom of speech! there is no actual law that prevents you from prohibiting the gardens. Maybe a statute, but this would have to be consented to.

I think occupy is very important movement because democracy has failed, it no longer represents the people, only corporate interest's. occupy is leaderless, it is formless, it's not trying to sell anything or convert anyone, it just wants to make a fair and happy society. It's strongest tool is its truth.

The Occupy movement brings people information about things that need to be changed to make the world a better place and it lets others know they are not alone in their struggles

I think that with all the dramas playing in the World .. Edinburgh needs a hub where we can go and learn about our huge potential for collective change as human beings , a change that is inevitable. This City is repressed socially by the power and greed of the money machine. This city is as much mine as it is of yours as it is of the banks and corporations that seek to control our freedoms. Many people are addicted to money so much that they will never find balance psychologically and in the world outside. Many are deeply repressed by the system and it's not a pleasure to be around such ignorances. I am a survivor like everybody else in this world. We need to wake up our hearts and love one another more and more. When one is too sheltered by security and their insecurities , one is never experiencing the freedom of an open heart . The Occupy movement is a call to open our hearts . Edinburgh has been my lifelong home here . It is under threat from the greed of the few. This is displayed all across the globe .. Wake up and share your divine nature's amongst our human world x X
