There have been numerous accidents on highway 138. Recently there was an accident at the corner of Headline Road and Highway 138. As this accident was very much an accident, it brings to light how many accidents do occur on the 138. Slowing traffic down at this intersection could possibly reduce the severity of accidents. We cannot ensure all drivers will use appropriate caution however we can put in place the appropriate structures to reduce the risk. This area is residential and Ecole Sainte Lucie is only a few yards from this corner. Our children are being transported on buses twice a day and other parents are travelling this area to drop off and pick up their children. It is very dangerous trying to turn onto the 138 as well as stopping on it to turn into the school. A traffic light will force cars to stop and this will slow traffic down to ensure everyone's safety. We appreciate your consideration in this matter and taking action before there is a serious injury.

My parents live in Beaverglen off Headline West. I use that intersection to turn left onto headline frequently when my family and I visit them. It is a deadly corner with southbound traffic whizzing by east turning traffic at full speed limit (or higher) on the right turn lane. It is hit and miss to make the turn at best. Traffic lights which include advanced greens are needed here before a person or worse people are killed here .... it is not if, it is when!

I was struck by a car in that intersection back in the late 1980's ,there is no need to convince me of the necessity of traffic control there.I would like to see the data compiled of incidents of traffic accidents at that spot over the years ,what does it take to get political action...a horrific tragedy and multiple deaths?

Personally I have had a couple of close calls at this intersection. Traffic turning west onto Headline rd risk collisions from southbound 138 traffic and vice versa. Too much congestion. Hey, why not throw in a couple of extra lanes on the 138 also!
