Thank you for visiting our petition.

We are pleased to announce that the Ryde Midwifery Group Practice will not now be moved into inadequate facilities.  The status quo will be maintained until a focus group, comprising midwives, consumers and hospital staff, have prepared a plan for new birth rooms.  The plan will be costed and await funding in due course.

Mums@Ryde is very pleased with this result.

Our thanks go to Victor Dominello for his wonderful support, and to Jillian Skinner for listening to the needs of consumers.  Many others, too many to name, have also been involved, supporting us to achieve this result.  By visiting this page, you have also supported us, and for that we thank you as well.

If you would like to know how this all turns out, please visit our website, www.mumsatryde.org.au from time to time as updates will be posted regularly.

Once again, thank you.

Please give women the facilities to birth in a safe and homely environment by midwives who are skilled, diligent and caring in their roles.

This is important to me because all women across Australia should have access to birth in a suitable place, whether this be in a hospital or at home.

I had four children and 10 grandchildren, and I think the Ryde model is excellent and should continue

I am concerned over the future health and safety of my daughter in law, and of other mothers in the area wanted to use these services.
