Sierra Leone lacks the educated people, finances, and supplies to run clean and normal hospitals for child birth. Pregnant women often die trying to give birth, their baby dies, or both of them die. Hospitals tell them it is no expense to have a child then charge them fees. Education is another story. Raise money to educate these women and empower them with the knowledge they need to become nurses and doctors. Educate the women about pregnancy and facts about life so they become secure about their babies and take care of their babies well. They are dying because of lack of knowledge, because they are poor, because of our lack of their stories. Please help raise awareness. Health is a human right no women should be denied.

I was a "near miss," and had my body transfused many times a week after birth.
