The reason why I'm signing is because I was born and rised in Queensbridge now I have grands following in my foot step. I can't believe they would allow such a grand village to lose all that aid in the growth of many, and destroy the future of so many. It does take a village and we should all put up a fight.

This is just another ploy to disenfranchise public housing residents. I grew up in Queensbridge the staple of the community has always been riis center the library have provided a service that cannot be measured in dollars cents, We cannot let them take away the sense of community and educational support that both of these structures provide....Save the Children.

The library and Riis Center gave me a place to go affter school and during the summer, they also help keep us out of truble and had a positive effect on our lives

I'm not even believing what I'm hearing. Hopefully this is not true. Libraries, community centers and daycare are the three most important components of any community. Without them, the community ceases to thrive. Queensbridge is no different from any other community that needs these services, and without them, there is no community. I see this as an attack on our community. I was born and raised in Queensbridge, utilized all of these services, and because of them, have enjoyed a successful life. Every child deserves a chance!
