Start a Food Revolution

This is a food revolution. All it will take is a little initiative from people who believe that the safest, healthiest, and indeed tastiest food comes from local producers, within 100 miles or so of where you live. This revolt will not only require you to support those local farmers and producers who contribute organic, healthy foods to your community, it will require you to become one of those local producers. Don't laugh off the idea (don't worry, I'm not a farmer either, I live in an apartment complex in a metro of 800,000 or so people). How can I expect you to become a food producer? Check out my blog (linked below) to find out, then come back, sign this pledge and DO IT!

I love living off of my garden!  Someday I will have a greenhouse, fruit trees, chickens, goats, and large trash barrels filled with grains and legumes.  Who needs grocery stores??

For me, it's mostly about food safety and health.  You can't count on the FDA or the agri-corporations to keep your food healthy.  Healthy, nurishing food needs to be fresh and from rich, well cultivated soil.  For some reason, health and nurishment isn't the goal of larger organizations.  Ya gotta go small for that!

I have been consciously revolting against Corporate food production (literal and figurative CorporateCowPottyPollution) ever since I learned what the "multi-nationals" were (old term for 'them' back in the early 70s); it made me literally throw up (nothing has ever done that to me before or since). The new term is GDG, the Global Dominance Group, (from a research paper by Peter Phillips & colleages, actionucs@ucsusa.org, Union of Concerned Scientists).
I grow as much of my own food as my resources allow. I have been boycotting processed foods and all unnecessary corporate products all my life (thanks, Mom). I highly recommend it to the whole world for peace of mind and health, happiness and spiritual well-being.
      Thanks, Merci, Danke, Danko, Gracias.
