Save funding for typhoon, disaster, and poverty survivors

    1. Sponsored by

As storm survivors in the Philippines struggle to rebuild their lives in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan, Congress is debating slashing aid to those who have suffered the most.

The International Affairs Budget – which represents only 1% of the U.S. budget - provides life-saving emergency assistance during disasters like Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, pays for food and medication for where it is desperately needed, and works to lift communities up out of poverty.

It’s already been cut by more than 20% in recent years. The consequences of further cuts would be disastrous.

This funding is a matter of life or death for children, mothers, and families living on the brink. Send a letter to your member of Congress today to tell them we want to protect our aid to those fleeing disasters and fighting poverty worldwide.
