Marriage is about the love two human individuals share. Its about wanting to
spend your life with this person. You want to grow old and share all of lifes
moments with. The person who you can not stop thinking about. Your life long
partner. You want to wake up to them each day. Hold their hand in public.
Marriage is a basic human right! Noones marriage affects anyone other then the
individual people involed.
So if a woman and a woman and a man and a man fall in love and want to marry one
another, they should have this right.

Some do not believe in same sex marriage for religion reasons -- okay that's
your opinion. But judging and creating hate is a sin. And its an opinion just
as if people like the same food or not.

We are talking about a human beings right to live their life as they wish here.
What they do at home in their life isn't going to affect a person who isn't

For purposes of keeping church and state separated, I DO believe a church should have the right to not issue marriages licenses to homosexual couples ONLY because the separation of church and state goes both ways. The church should not have any influence on policies, and the state cannot force a church to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples if they do not recognize it as a righteous union. Does this make it right? Not in my opinion, but unfortunately most churches dont believe in gay marriage.

Alternatively, the state should and MUST recognize that marriage, in modern times is a LEGAL CONTRACT. For this reason, religion should only hold place in a marriage if the two individuals entering into the contract so chose. Otherwise, religion must not hold any power over the civil liberties endowed to every American. It is distressing that this is so hot button when it shouldn't be. It is prejudice, it is the crusades of the "moral" majority, and it is wrong.

Short answer, gay lesbian couples absolutely should have a right to be married.

Why is this important to me? Because I love someone so, so much. Just because he's a man shouldn't make any difference to anyone else but me. I love; I LOVE. If there was only more love in the world today...

Because all consenting individuals should have the right to marry in the United States or any other nation.

My parents are lesbians and I believe that anyone should be able to get married. Marriage is about the person you love. Gender does not have to be involved. Please legalize same-sex marriage.

Because I believe in real freedom for everybody. We're all too quick to defend our own rights and then we turn around and deny other people their rights. It's the American hypocrisy and I'm tired of it. Freedom for all.

Bans on same sex marriage are unconstitutional. It's not illegal to be in a same sex relationship in the U.S.A.
