Rhode Island Senate: Support Marriage Equality

    1. Sponsored by

      Rhode Islanders United for Marriage

May 2013

Rhode Island became the 10th state in the United States and the final state in New England to allow the freedom to marry for same-sex couples.

Momentum to secure the freedom to marry in Rhode Island is at an all-time high. The House has passed the marriage bill, and now we just have one final hurdle until marriage equality becomes law: passing the bill in the Senate.

It's more crucial than ever that our state Senators hear from their constituents who support marriage equality. Take action now and urge your state Senator to support the freedom to marry.

2 people in love are 2 people in love. They should be allowed to marry.

Equality is a basic civil right that should be for every citizen of the state. Rhode Island needs to pass the Marriage Equality bill.

Equality has been given to so many gays and lesbians in the surrounding states. It's about time the same equality is given to the people of RI.

People should be able to marry whomever they choose. There is supposed to be a division of church and state, period.
