With the rise of social isolation, the increasing impact of climate change and our increasingly monotonous home designs, the Council has acted to interfere unreasonably in the quiet enjoyment of this property. We call upon Council to grant retroactive planning approval so that this national landmark, of cultural, environmental and social values, which demonstrates the power of communities and families to overcome the environmental vandalism our governments have failed so massively to address.
This house has been internationally recognised as a wonderful social, ecological and cultural asset that the county could benefit from, and we ask the Council to respect this through providing planning approval.

I believe sustainable and affordable, as well as environmentally friendly housing should be supported in any community. Rules and bylaws are meant to reflect the thoughts, humanity and soul of the community and country not the other way around!

I believe learning about the environment we live in is a fundamental part of respecting our surroundings and using it as our ancestors did. This 'hobbit home' has shown a number of young adults including myself of different ways to live in the technology advanced world we do, without putting harm to the environment. It is a respectful home, a beautiful piece of art and the foundation of a refound way of life that these two young adults want to show their son. It would cause more harm to the environment to built more blocks of flats than to build 200 of these hobbit homes.
