Every day, students come to school to experience a holistic learning environment, not to just sit in a classroom. We value and appreciate the voluntary time that teachers dedicate towards extra-curricular activities (sports, arts, clubs, etc.), however, due to the recent passing of Bill 115, teachers are withdrawing support from non – instructional time activities. Due to this ‘work to rule’ movement, Ontario students are no longer able to join sports teams, clubs, and participate in the things they enjoy. We understand that teachers are upset with the government’s decisions, but we ask that they do not protest by putting our academic experience on the line.

Because I do not feel it is right for students to have to suffer for issues within the board.

Extracurriculars are an important part of the overall educational experience for our children. They are the ones suffering over these teacher actions and that's not fair.

The teachers are selling the students short and putting us in an unfair position.
