Ohio: Time to Act F.A.S.T. on Stroke Care

    1. Sponsored by

      American Heart Association

With stroke, time is critical. When a stroke occurs, we must act fast to recognize the signs and symptoms and take immediate action to prevent long-term disability or death.

Recently, a new public media campaign --F.A.S.T.-- was unveiled to help spread knowledge about the signs and symptoms of stroke. F.A.S.T. stands for Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty and Time to call 911. As with acting F.A.S.T. to recognize a stroke and take action, we also need to act fast to improve stroke care in Ohio! With the new legislative session beginning, now is the time for a renewed effort to improve stroke care.

We have the ability to reduce long-term disability, save healthcare costs and save lives...but only if we act FAST. Please send your message now!

This is important to me as a good friend of mine suffered a stroke and didn't get the after care he needed. Therefore this course is close to my heart. I am also hoping to start a disabled friendly gym in the UK, so that people who need rehabilitation after a stroke, have somewhere to recover and regain their quality of life with the correct rehabilitation.
