No Confidence in the Qld LNP Government: Stop job losses, cuts to services & no outsourcing of health services!

    1. Petition by

      Jan Thwaites

      Clayfield, Australia

My partner and I are ordinary citizens of Qld. We have never been very political. However we cannot sit by and watch what the current Qld LNP Government is doing to the state of Qld.

In our personal opinion the LNP government continues to not govern for Queenslanders.  We have been personally affected by the government cuts and we also know alot of people who have been affected. The government had a mandate to improve the state but all we have seen is cut, cut, cut with the worst coming in Health and Aged Care. Cutting these two vital areas is a recipe for disaster and in the end costing the state more to fix.

We also don't think they had a mandate to take rights away from people who are already marginalised and discriminated against. That is not their job.

Please sign the petition if you agree. We want people who have been affected by these cuts to join the group. I want ANYONE that has no confidence in the Qld LNP Government to join. Please feel free to tell your story and vent about how you feel. We definitely want people who voted for the LNP and are not happy with what is happening!

This petition is designed to be a "virtual" no confidence vote as we are unable to have a real no confidence vote.

The LNP are not listening at the moment. They haven't listened since getting into power.

Campbell Newman, Premier of Qld
Lawrence Springborg, Qld Health Minister

Queensland has reliedon a strong public sector for it's development and maintenance for all its history. Sckingpublic sector workers and outsourcing services will mean it will cost us all more to live here.

I work in the health industry. I also have friends in the QAS, QPS, QFS (Husband's best friend is OIC at a fire station so we know the dangers that this government has put on the QFS). If the heavy handed tactics weren't impacting so much on hard working people's lives. And also putting their lives and lives of others on the line for the sake of saving a buck or two. I would say that this government was a joke. Yes a change needed to be made but you have gone so far in the opposite direction you are now putting Queensland lives in danger. But yet you pat yourself on the back in the protection of your cushy office & enjoy all your perks of ministerial life and a hefty income. Well don't get to comfy Mr Campbell!!

Too large a majoraity is not healthy for a democracy. Far too much power and far too much greed as is being displayed in Newmans ill conceived apointments such as Caltabiano, Bates, Flegg and most concerning of all Costello.
